Moment Comi Skis 2011: The Moment Comi Ski is big. Even the 186 gets stares in the lift line, and the 192S looks lost outside the Chugach… but size ain’t everything. Rocker and early taper at the tip make the Moment Comi Skis a nimble minx, and our hand-laid wood core makes it ultra stable for big lines and big air anywhere, not just AK. The 192S features a stiffer nose, and a swallow tail to keep your tips up in powder and increase torsional rigidity for hardpack maneuverability. Both lengths arrive for 2010 with Moment’s new Density-Tuned core: rock solid ash underfoot for binding retention, light and lively aspen at the tip and tail.
For the directional charger, the Tip Rocker profile gives the ski the strength and edging power of a cambered ski with a strong tail, while the rockered tip speeds turn initiation, blasts through the crud, and planes quickly in the powder.
UHMW (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) sidewalls are extremely light, durable and resistant to separation
4001 DuraSurf sintered base can take a beating while staying fast. They are harder and have better wax absorption than extruded bases. Moment uses sublimated graphics to eliminate the cracking and peeling common on die-cut bases
VDS dampening system
Triaxial fiberglass, woven in a 0°/45°/-45° fashion, provides maximum strength and resistance against twisting
Density-Tuned Ash/Aspen core provides strength and durability while reducing the weight in every possible location. This core has twin ash stringers underfoot for binding retention with aspen everywhere else to reduce weight and make your powder days better.
