The Fischer Ranger 98 Skis do everything your old all mountain skis do, with less weight. Less weigh means quicker, more nimble performance in all conditions and less fatigue at the end of the day - you'll find yourself charging 'til last chair and still have energy for the bar. Fischer drops the weight by using some unique construction techniques like a super thin carbon tip and light poplar core, plus their Air Tech Ti core shaping that drops extra mass from the edges of the ski. If you're looking for a smooth and versatile ski that emphasizes maneuverability in a width that will handle a wide variety of snow, you owe it to yourself to check out the Fischer Ranger 98 before you make your decision.
Freeski Rocker – Tip and tail rocker with reduced camber for smooth performance and ease of turning.
Tapered Tip and Tail
Aeroshape – The topsheet of the ski forms a broad sphere, leaving the ski thickness normal in the center but radically reduced at the edges in the tip and tail. This shape not only reduces mass, but increases torsional strength and leaves a streamlined side profile in soft snow.
Poplar Wood Core – Naturally lightweight and snappy core; sustainably harvested
Air Tec Ti Wood Core – Fischer brings their patented Nordic technology to alpine skis in this elaborate, offset milling structure which reduces core weight by 25% without affecting flex or torsion.
Titanal Shell – A curved shell of Titanal metal wraps the top surface of the milled Air Tech Ti core.
Carbon Nose – Visually striking use of lightweight carbon laminate in the nose of the ski allows the ski tip to be extremely thin and lowers vibrating mass at speed.
Sandwich Sidewall Construction – Wood core combined with ABS sidewalls in a classic Sandwich Construction for balanced flex and perfect rebound.
Sintered Graphite Base
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
