The Jones Hovercraft 2.0 Splitboard is a backcountry beast built to charge chutes, blast through bowls, and weave tight tree lines with precision and power. With a directional shape, medium flex, and 3D Contour Base 3.0, this board floats like a dream and carves like a scalpel thanks to its directional camber/rocker profile. Nimble, aggressive, and downright fun — this is the all-terrain splitboard for riders who want to ride it all.
Directional Camber/Rocker – A hybrid rocker/camber flex pattern defined by more tip rocker then tail rocker and camber between the bindings. The rockered tip floats the board’s nose and improves maneuverability while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response. A slightly rockered tail maintains the power and stability of a traditional board but helps keep the tail catch-free initiating turns and landing switch.
Flex Rating – 3/5 | Happy Medium
Forever Flex – All Jones boards are broken in using specialized machinery that mimics extreme riding use to help stabilize the flex and rocker profile of a board for it's lifetime.
Directional Flex Pattern
Blunt Nose – "How a board glides in powder, crust, corn or any snow more than an inch deep is dictated by it's front contact point and just past it. Next time you are in soft snow watch how much snow comes over the corner of the nose near the contact point. The billowing snow coming out from behind the tip means you are plowing through it which is obviously slowing you down. By adding a blunt nose you get the float benefits of a much longer nose without the 'snow plow' rounded tip and it's extra swing weight." - Jeremy Jones
3D Contour Base 3.0 – Freeride focused 3D Contour Base featuring a 7mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 0 - 7mm of spoon bevel in the tail. Spoon bevel starts at the rocker point.
Progressive Sidecut – At the far ends of the sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.
FSC Control Split Core – Dual-density full premium wood core designed specifically for splitboards. 2:1 paulownia to poplar stringer ratio keeps core light yet ultra damp.
Biax Fiberglass – A dual-direction, dual-layer, stitched fiberglass laminate that provides a fun, forgiving and snappy ride.
Recycled Rounded ABS – ABS plastic is one of the necessary evils of snowboard production. Jones improves the sustainability of their snowboards by using only recycled plastic.
Sintered 8000 Base – New super durable material made from Ultra High Molecular Weight polyethylene and carbon.
Inner Thin Recycled Edges – Advancement in ski edge durability allow us to use thinner edges on splitboard inside edges to save weight. Outside edges are 2mm, inside edges are 1.5mm.
Sustainable Flax Top
Karakoram Ultra Clips 1.0 – Karakoram Ultra Clips 1.0 remain some of the strongest and lowest profile clips in the industry. They are adjustable so you can maintain even compression as your splitboard ages.
Karakoram Tip Clips – Karakoram Tip clips made with durable ABS that swing closed and stay tight.
Wend Natural Wax – Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax.
Bio Resin – All Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum based epoxy. The raw materials used to make Super Sap Bio-Resin are co-products or waste products of other plant-based industrial processes. Producing Super Sap requires 33% less greenhouse gas emissions than conventional epoxy.
Factory Tuned – All Jones snowboards are factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain.

The Spark R&D Surge ST Bindings are stiff, powerful, and built for big line riders and backcountry legends who demand unwavering performance. With a beefed-up ankle strap and a responsive highback, they deliver maximum control and drive when the terrain gets serious. Whether you're dropping no-fall zones or charging alpine faces, the Surge ST is your go-to for big days in big mountains.
Improved ST (Smooth Touring) Mode – Spark injection molds a proprietary thermoplastic over existing aluminum or steel parts in a process called "overmolding," reducing friction and improving durabillity.
ST Whammy Bar Climbing Wire – Built right into the baseplate. Overmolded plastic where the bar contacts the baseplate allows for super-smooth climbing wire deployment and transitions.
ST Touring Brackets – Incorporates the best features of aluminum and thermoplastics. Spark R&D overmolds their custom plastic blend over and through the holes in the aluminum base, forming bushings that are incredibly durable.
ST Whammy Bars – A single fatty wire with a side arm lever. Overmolded thermoplastic sections allow you to switch easily from stowed, to low (12°), to high (18°) climbing positions and back again while touring. Includes an overmolded sleeve of plastic on both sides of the bar, right where the climbing wire contacts the baseplate. This reduces friction allowing for super smooth movement into and out of high, low, and stowed positions.
T1 Heel Rest – Catches the climbing wire in the 12° and 18° positions.
Snap Ramps – Bindings slide sideways into offset touring brackets and are locked into place with our snap ramps.
CNC Machined Baseplates – Solid for maximum stiffness and durability.
Pillow Line Straps – Lightweight, durable, comfortable, waterproof, one-piece molded construction, and made 100% in-house. Surge ST ankle straps are wide and asymmetrical around the boot for incredible all-around support.
Ladders & Straps – Produced with unique thermoplastics that maintain flex over a wide temperature range
Bomber Buckles – These incorporate Burton's time-tested bomber buckles.
Surge ST Asym Rip "N" Flip Highbacks – These have a high amount of glass fiber fill for a stiff ride and maximum response. They feature individual left and right highbacks for natural ergonomics with a flattened top section giving riders great lateral mobility.
Requires Pucks for Mounting in Ride Mode – Spark Canted Pucks or Regular Pucks recommended (available to purchase separately)
