StepChild Headless Horseman Rocker Snowboard 2011: The StepChild Headless Horseman Snowboard is one of the new additions to the line this year. It is a high-end twin reverse camber board. StepChild put a poplar/beech/bamboo core combination in it for extra pop, response, strength and flexibility. The base is die cut with a speedy structurn finish and 28 inserts assures you maximum stance options. The Chi Guy has lost his head but that still shouldn’t stop you from getting some.
StepChild Flexometer: Medium
The StepChild Headless Horseman Rocker Snowboard is pressed to resemble the bottom of a rocking chair. The rocker gives the board an easy riding feel as it is “pre flexed” going into turns. It works well for parks, jibs and surprisingly well in powder. This board is a true twin with a centered stance and sidecut. The tip and tail are identical.
As with all StepChild boards, this comes with the Armadillo Plate: a diamond shaped fiberglass reinforcement layer that is placed over the inserts.
The structurn base finish is die cut with a pre waxed, smooth “soft belt” finish.
This freestyle board has edges that were built to take a beating or two, durable enough for rails and jibs and versatile enough for fresh pow days.
