The Niche Pyre Snowboard is a blunt-nosed powder blaster that handles chop and edges groomers just as well. Featuring a couple traction bumps as it tapers to a mini swallowtail, you'll love the smooth transitions in and out of your turns. Traditional camber under the back foot adds versatility to the Pyre's rockered nose, so you can use it in more than just powder. Factor in that it was made at The Mothership according to Niche's strict, environmentally sound manufacturing process, and you'll feel at peace when you're weaving through the trees.

Rocker Type
Back Seat Camber, Rockered Nose – Back Seat Camber has rocker in the nose leading into traditional camber by the back foot. Designed to float effortlessly through powder, roll through choppy areas, enter turns with ease and power through the exits, and lock-in on groomers.
Flex
7 – Stiff directional flex pattern. Powerful, snappy, and stable.
Shape
Directional Pow – Wide, blunt nose, tapered shape, mini swallow tail, and setback stance for amazing float in deep snow. Initiates and holds turns well on choppy snow and groomers too.
Core
Sustainable Wood Core – A combination of paulownia, poplar, and bamboo.
Laminates
Basalt Stringers – Similar vibration dampening and pop characteristics to carbon fiber, but much more eco-friendly.
Snappy Sap™ Bio-Resin – More elastic and snappier than normal resin, it dampens vibrations and has extremely high adhesion properties to help keep your board from delaminating. Traditional resins can also be extremely toxic to people and the environment. As opposed to traditional petroleum-based materials, Snappy Sap is composed of bio-renewable materials from the industrial waste streams of the paper pulp and bio-fuels industries.
Recyclamine™ – Recyclamine™ curing agents are the only epoxy hardeners available that enable full recyclability of thermosetting epoxy resins. This technology provides chemical resistance and mechanical properties similar to conventional, non-recyclable amine-cured epoxies. Flexibility, toughness, and low temperature properties are equal or superior to conventional epoxies.

Topsheet
Digi-Print Topsheet – A lacquer-free topsheet that's also thinner than most snowboard topsheets. This down on excess material and makes your board lighter. Niche digitally prints directly onto the topsheet, cutting up to 60% of the material and 75% of the energy needs during alternate printing processes.
Water-Based Inks – Niche uses non-toxic, solvent-free, water-based inks for printing graphics on all snowboard production.

Freeride Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction. Powder Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.

Flex Rating
Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
