The Salomon Overcast Snowboard, once a Japan-exclusive, is finally here to bring its precision and powder prowess to the rest of us. This unisex, tapered directional ripper blends the best of the Sight and Bliss, but with 20% more stiffness and a fast sintered base to charge harder and float deeper. Built with an Aspen Strong core and dialed to thrive everywhere from groomers to light, dreamy pow, the Overcast is ready to show you what it’s learned on the legendary slopes of Japan!

Rocker Type
Cross Profile Camber – Camber between the feet for better control, pop and landing stability. Rocker on tip and tail for effortless flotation forward and switch.
Flex
Flex Rating – 4.5 (1 Soft - 5 Stiff)
Shape
Tapered Directional – Tail width is slightly tapered (2-20mm). This loosens up turning initiation and improves floatation in deeper snow without sacrificing edge hold on hardpack.
Quadratic Sidecut – A blend of elliptic curves for easy turn initiation, effortless direction changes and fluid edge-to-edge transitions
Core
Aspen Strong Core – CNC-selected high-density wood strips for the inserts and rail zones results in improved impact resistance and a predictable flex from opening day to spring slush.
Popster – The core is strategically milled inside of the insert packs, allowing the board to flex more naturally underfoot and transfer energy into the nose and tail for added pop.
Laminates
Biaxial Low Density Fiberglass – Low-density fibers allow for lighter boards that keep their playful forgiving flex forever.
Sidewalls
Royal Cork Pads – Cork pads are strategically placed into the sidewall to provide eco-friendly dampening.
Base
Sintered Base – An industry standard for quality sintered base materials. Provides a moderate balance between the speed created by a hard surface and good wax retention.
Edges
All Mountain EB – All mountain ready, right out of the wrapper. Equipped with 1.5 degree base edge bevel and a 1.5 degree side edge bevel for superior edge hold and no hang ups.
