Artwork by Niark1 – The artwork of French artist and illustrator Sébastien Féraut, aka Niark1, exposes colorful, surrealistic worlds inhabited by monsters and modern artifacts. His use of illustration and multi-media collage with ripped paper edges and half-tone newsprint lends to a hands-on, homemade punk 'zine aesthetic that equally evokes both past and future, real and unreal. Art and creativity have always been a core element of snowboarding. There is a special feeling and empowerment you get when looking down and strapping into a board you feel represents and inspires you. The Recon graphics from Niark1 were chosen specifically by the Forum team as the inspiration they wanted to see between their feet.
