What happens when you take a cult classic all mountain jibber, pack it with Line's latest tech, and give it to Dylan Siggers to make magic? You get the Line Sakana DS Skis, complete with a new layup that adds durability and strength without compromising the playful irreverence that made Sakana special in the first place. Thick-Cut Sidewalls, Bio-Resin, and Line's signature Fatty™ Base and Edges deliver bulletproof toughness in the park, while a slightly turned up tail improves switch capability for a dynamic feel that brings the whole mountain to life. It's topped off with a stunning graphic from artist Max Nerurkar, featuring original poetry that captures the art, beauty, and emotion of skiing. Go feel stuff!
Early Rise™ – Tip and tail lift away from the snow to bring the contact points closer to the center of the ski. This increases a ski's lift in deep snow and allows it to engage more quickly on hardpack.
Rocker Profile – 10mm Tip / 4mm Camber / 0mm Tail @ 174cm
Directional Flex – The softer tip floats and initiates turns easily while the stiffer tail provides power, stability and high speed control.
Thin Tip™ – Super thin core & sidewall in the tips are 100 grams lighter per pair for reduced swing weight & tip bounce.
Swallowtail – A dramatic tail knockout de-couples the farthest reaches of the effective edge while simultaneously forcing the tail of the ski down in soft snow. The result is a ski that can be ridden at shorter lengths without sacrificing performance.
Aspen and Paulownia Wood Core
Bio Resin – Increases bonding with the core.
Carbon Flax Tape – Carbon Stringers offset by Flax Taping create added stiffness without the pingy, deflective properties of Carbon.
Thick-Cut Sidewalls – Adds strength and concentrates power over the edge.
Fatty™ Base | 1.7mm – 30% thicker base dramatically increases durability and tuning life the skis.
Fatty Edge | 2.5mm x 2.2mm – 30% thicker edge dramatically increases durability and tuning life of these skis.
Limited Edition Art by Max Nerurkar (@3_dumb) – Dylan Siggers: "Max Nerurkar does this visually striking and beautiful art wrapped in thoughts and quotes that are so inspiring and melancholic. I wanted the ski to feel vulnerable and bluntly emotion provoking. Even at the expense of maybe turning certain people off them. I sent Max a big list of quotes, lyrics and thoughts. He sent back two completely original, beautiful, inspiring poems that cover each ski base. Both poems somehow captured all these thoughts and experiences that were so important to me. It’s surreal how accurate they are. Like when you get a fortune cookie that is too specific to be true."
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
