A full re-design of the legendary Zero G 95, the new Blizzard Zero G 96 Skis move toward a more eco-friendly manufacturing process and more on-slope versatility. Gone are the days of struggling to disengage from your edge and begin a new turn, and a slightly softer overall flex gives the ski a leg up in funky snow. With less carbon fiber in the build (there is some in the Carbon/Glass weave), no Titanal or Carbon under the bindings (they use a dense Ash wood insert instead), and recycled sidewall and base material, the environmental impace of building the ski is sharply reduced. Still one of the lightest dependable touring skis yet built, and still our go-to for long days on the skin track.
Rocker Camber Rocker – Ski profile with rocker at the tip and tail, camber in the middle. Reducing the pressure on the edge at the tip and tail makes the ski even easier to handle and increases flotation on powder snow. The camber guarantees great grip on packed snow.
Five Radius Sidecut
Trueblend Touring Core 2.0 – Ultralight Paulownia combined with Poplar
Glass/Carbon Pre-Preg Layup
Dense Ash Insert for Binding Retention
Sandwich Partial Sidewall Construction – Recycled sidewall material
Re-cycled Running Base
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
