The most unique shape in the business and some of the best graphics of the year are totally appropriate for the Blizzard Spur Skis. More compliant in chop and easier to turn at moderate speeds, the new Spur is an entirely different breed of animal than its predecessor and features an asymmetrical tip and tail shape with a 26 meter turn radius along one edge and a 30 meter radius on the other. Creative freeriders (see Jackie Paaso) are already choosing a sidecut to match conditions, but we'll leave the experimentation to you. Don't be scared off by the 192 cm length of these bad rides; we've seen riders from 130 lbs. to 220 lbs. rock these with ease while sporting huge smiles. Stop merely dreaming about next season's epic pow and kick some rump with the new Blizzard Spur.
Rocker Flat Rocker – Ski profile with noticeable rocker at the tip and tail, flat in the middle. The noticeable curvature of the tip and tail favors optimal flotation in backcountry terrain. The flat profile in the middle guarantees stability on harder snow.
Asymmetrical Sidecut – 30 meters on the "long" side, 26 meters on the "short" side - take your pick.
Unique Asymmetrical Shape – Don't take our word for it, check out the pictures.

Carbon Flipcore D.R.T. – Blizzard's Dynamic Release Technology, shared by the Spur, Rustler and Sheeva series, utilizes a specially shaped Titanal component that is full width under the boot but tapers toward the tip and tail of the ski, to increase the ski's playfulness without the weight penalty and without sacrificing stability. Combined with unidirectional carbon fiber in the tip and tail, longitudinal stability is retained while torsional rigidity is lessened for a more playful and less hooky feel.
Sandwich Compound Sidewall – All Blizzard skis with the exception of some junior skis are built with ABS or Phenol sidewalls for superior performance (stability, power transmission, handling) and durability.

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
