2023 K2 Antidote Snowboard - 158W

The Antidote excels at high speeds, jumps and powder riding. It can rail a turn on a groomer but is not going to give you the carves of your dreams like some more directional boards will. However, if you are looking for a board to handle bigger jumps, pipe and backcountry riding it will have your back. Look at Sage’s riding, if you are inspired by his impressive all mountain freestyle in Natural Selection this is the board for you. I would recommend this board to advanced-expert riders or an intermediate looking for a beefy all-mountain snowboard to progress on. Pros All-mountain freestyle machine; a one board quiver. Responsive and stable at high speeds. Very lightweight, making spins and flips easier. Cons Stiffer flex, unforgiving for lighter or intermediate riders. Not as much float as a directional board but can still hang. While capable, not the best for carving. Doesn't perform as well on smaller rails/jibs as it does larger features.

Bottom Line

If you’re looking to go build jumps in the backcountry, ride the big jump line and hike powder runs on the same board this should be a top contender. It’s not for the meek but if you’re an aggressive rider or a larger one this will make a great sidekick to your snowboard ambitions!

Fast and all over the place. I love
to ride the mountain as if it were a
skatepark. Finding anything to jump
off, over, or around is major fun.
Carving at high speeds or pointing it
and screaming to the snow gods to
hold my edge. An all-mountain rider
that thinks he’s more skilled than he actually is.

Ride Shadowban Snowboard - 157

This board is built for the creative rider who likes to have fun and wants to make the mountain their playground. I would gear this board towards an all-mountain freestyle rider, or purely all-mountain. I could also recommend this board for someone that has been riding the same board for the last 7-15 years, looking to stay close to traditional but yearning for some updated tech. This board has all the means to keep you happy on the hill, no matter your experience. If you’re someone that grabs their board and worries about conditions later, the Shadowban will treat you well. With amazing versatility and a fun personality, you've gotta take it out for a date, and see how you get along.

Season Pass Splitboard - 163

The feature-packed Season Pass is the most well-rounded splitboard I have owned, and I trust it on any backcountry adventure. A directional twin shape and medium flex are ideal for versatile performance, while its mid-wide waist width adds float and helps stop toe drag. The poplar/paulownia wood core and full ABS sidewall keep the ride feeling light and playful while preventing chatter in variable conditions. My favorite splitboard profile, classic camber, prevents skin track slipping and remains stable during descents. Although I prefer to ride the 163cm vs. my 157cm solid daily driver at the resort, the unisex sizing provides plentiful options for most people. And thanks to a sintered base, the Season Pass is super fast in all conditions, with my favorite Karakoram Ultra clips holding it all together! Additionally, I fell in love with the included pre-cut Pomoca Pro Glide skins, as they performed flawlessly and packed away efficiently. The skins were surprisingly grippy in steep sections yet maintained unmatched glide in the flats. Finally, metal inserts on the board's tail provide durable protection from rocks and trees, especially when hastily shoving it into deep snow before attaching skins during pre-work dawn patrol hot laps at our local touring spots. The Season Pass Splitboard is a highly recommended, dedicated backcountry tool, ideal for anyone looking to earn their turns and enjoy it too!

Bottom Line

Deep powder? Variable snow? Switch turns? The Season Pass Splitboard does it with ease as a jack of all trades packed with top-tier performance-oriented features from tip to tail. Buy once, smile forever.

K2 Passport Snowboard

K2 Passport Snowboard - 149cm

This is your board for taking your riding to the next level. Maybe you started on something that’s softer, twin, flat, etc. and you feel like you have outgrown the baby steps and are ready to run. This board is for you! It’s time to take on more intermediate to advanced runs with varied terrain in a vessel that can handle it all. This is a great next step towards an all-mountain board that’s efficient in powder if you’re not ready to fully invest in a pow-specific board yet. Level up to a directional board to impress your friends with how much better you got since last season.

Background Image

Bottom Line

One board to rule them all. I don’t have to worry about what I’m packing for those weekend trips and figuring out what the weather is going to do in those locations. I know I can pack this board and I’ll have a wicked good time riding regardless of the conditions. The board has your back in the powder, on the groomers and hitting those cheeky side hits. A day riding this plank will have you remembering why you really love snowboarding.

2023 Salomon Echo Dual Boa, Snowboard Boot - 8.5 (US), 39 (EU)

The Alpha is a high-performance boot that is built for aggressive skiers who want to optimize their performance fit, and demand more from their boots than the average skier. Whether that means you’re laying trenches on groomers, trying to beat some of your buddies down the mountain in a friendly competition, or maybe you want to hit some of those more technical lines you’ve been scoping at the local spot for a couple years, the S/Pro Alpha is the boot that can take you there. With the engineering that was clearly put into this boot, it would be hard to not expect the most out of it, and luckily for all of us skiers, it delivers.

2023 Salomon Highpath Snowboard - 156cm

Designed in all sizes to fit anyone who is looking for a perfect do-it-all board. A true quiver of one. A true all-mountain board that can handle all conditions. If you're looking for the perfect board to take out when you're not sure what the day might look like on hill, the Highpath is the choice.

Bottom Line

2023 Salomon Highpath Snowboard

For someone like myself who has a pretty big quiver of boards, I continued to find myself reaching for the Highpath. Conditions aside, the Highpath is just fun to ride. Very lively feel while still offering enough comfort to handle variable conditions. Every time I went to grab another board in the back of my mind I would think, “Will I have a better day on this than the Highpath?". Directional, but with freestyle tendencies the Highpath is the perfect choice if you are looking for a go-to premium all-mountain board.

2023 Salomon Echo Dual Boa, Snowboard Boot

Salomon has made a boot that almost sounds too good to be true, and we couldn’t be more excited. With phenomenal material choice from dense ankle cage foams and plastics to the 3D customizable shell packed with top-of-the-line alpine boot performance there are very few reasons to not look into the Alpha as your next boot.
