The StepChild Powder Sucks Reverse Camber Mid Wide Snowboard has been one of their most popular boards since it was introduced 5 years ago. It is a little wider for slightly bigger feet. The smooth flexing Kicker 1 core and versatile twin shape make this an easy to ride board with great response. While the improved construction, shaping and strength, has slightly changed over the years, name remains the same. This board will do everything for you but suck.

Lightweight Biax glass is laid cris-crossing for light weight strength.
Armadillo Plate is a diamond shaped extra layer of fiberglass placed over the inserts to help prevent insert blowout. The diamond shape strengthens that board around the inserts without interrupting the flex.

True twin shape with centered stance and side cut
Rocker – The board is pressed to resemble the bottom of a rocking chair. The rocker gives the board and easy riding feel as it is “pre-flexed” going into turns.
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
Snag Free Bases are hardened by a temperature system that cooks the base harder as it’s pressed to the board. The base comes out harder than when it went in (that’s what she said).

Rocker A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.

Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest.
