The newest model of the StepChild JP Walker Pro Model Snowboard has been greatly updated. It starts off with the high impact absorbing Park Formula Sidewalls and a snag free base. Next comes the 0 Camber making it excellent for all riding styles or from park to powder. The Kicker 3 Core is reinforced with Kevlar strips for a stable flex pattern built to last. Like JP, this board can destroy anything from park to street rails to powder.

Rocker Type
0 Camber – Completely flat. No rocker. No camber. Great for all conditions, rails to powder.
Flex
Medium – Gives you good response from edge to edge without affecting the way the board hugs and presses on rails or boxes.
Shape
True twin shape with centered stance and side cut
Core
Kicker 1 Core
Kevlar Strips – Added to give the boards a bit more pop in their flex. It also provides a lively and consistent flex.
Laminates
Triax – Creates a checker board layout with another straight down it. It adds durability and strength to the board.
Armadillo Plate – A diamond shaped extra layer of fiberglass placed over the inserts to help prevent insert blowout. The diamond shape strengthens that board around the inserts without interrupting the flex.
Sidewalls
The Park Formula – Made out of Philan, which is lighter and harder than rubber, but provides similar impact absorption. This is meant to take a serious beat down.
Base
Snag Free – These bases are hardened by a temperature system that cooks the base harder as it’s pressed to the board. The base comes out harder than when it went in (that’s what she said).

Medium The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
