Nothing entirely new here. Just the guaranteed stellar performance of a classic cambered deck with a little modernity thrown in. The Rome Mod Snowboard is the choice of Bjorn Leines and Stale Sandbech for it's ability to pop of the snow, rail precise carves and it's overall lightweight performance feel. To improve longevity, Rome used TurboRods and Z-Tech 1.0 laminates to strengthen the core and quicken the board's return for powerful ollies until it's retired -- if ever. Cause some serious wreckage this season on the Rome Mod Snowboard.
Stay Positive Camber – For the last 30 years or so, there have been a group of riders who demand positive camber to fuel their snowboarding. This group includes most team riders, shop owners, 100-day locals and many at Rome. The reason they demand positive camber is for the unmatched pop and response that it gives a snowboard. Whether you are railing turns, ollieing off the lip of a jump, or stomping a landing, many riders think there is no better shape to have under foot. Great for riding everything with power.
True Twin
Air Pop Core Matrix – Rome adds five zones of ultra low density wood for lightness. Increased lightness with air channels to reduce weight.
TurboRods | Carbon Reverse Radial V – A single rod of dynamically-flexing carbon in the centerline for longitudinal pop without unwanted torsional stiffness.
SuperLightBiax Laminate – Rome's ultra-lightweight biax pattern helps provide an even-flexing, fun, torsional feel; perfect for boards with the other-worldly pop found in TurboRods.
Z-Tech 1.0 – Centerlin Zylon, in a one inch strip, adds ollie power and lengthwise overall pop.
SinterCarbon Base – Carbon additives help reduce friction and make the base super fast. A highly porous structure soaks up the wax.
