You love your soft, pressable board for those bluebird park laps, but you want a raw, bad-to-the-bone directional shredstick for the epic days. Lace up the all-new Rome Blur Snowboard, and dive into a season of powder pilfering and all-mountain domination. Combining Basalt Impact Plates and Carbon TurboRods for a durable, responsive, and snappy feel, the Blur is designed for no holds barred, all out shredding. Go step to Pucker Face, bounce pillows through Trashcan, or open things up on Highlands Bowl. Wherever you might find yourself this winter, drop in with confidence on the Blur.
Hybrid Stay Positive Camber Profile – Rome innovated the concept behind this profile back in 2010 and ran it several years in the Anthem SS - possibly a bit ahead of its time given the anti-camber craze of those times. Through the years, 100-day locals and industry insiders have told Rome that this is their favorite camber of all time, so they decided to bring back a new version. This design features positive camber through nearly all of the running length. Just before the contact points, the positive camber transitions into rocker that only gets activated when you flex the board. The result is nearly all the responsiveness of positive camber, but with smoother turn initiation and a touch more float in powder.
Air Pop Core Matrix – Rome adds five zones of ultra low density wood for lightness. Increased lightness with air channels to reduce weight.
TurboRods | Carbon Dual Arc – Two arcing carbon TurboRods are milled into the core near the sidecut of the board for maximum power through one turn and into the next.
Basalt Impact Plates – A thin durable layer of basalt under the corners of your bindings to add strength and reduce core compression.
45/90 Carbon Hybrid Laminate – New for this year, Rome added this innovative laminate layer. It integrates carbon bundles into a 45-degree layer to the top of the core with a 90-degree layer below the core.
Good Vibes Sidewalls – Rome takes two segments of traditional ABS material and sandwich it above and below a mid-layer of elastomeric material. This does two things. First, it smoothes out the ride, giving the board a chatter-free feeling on edge. And for strength, the mid layer of elastomeric material absorbs shock to reduce sidewall damage.
Sinterspeed Base – A high-end sintered compound, this base retains wax for elite levels of speed and durability.
