A hidden advantage of the K2 Riser concept is the ability to carry a mid-size foot, so a big-footed rider can now ride a narrower board.

Hybridtech S-Class construction: sidewall construction combines traditional sidewall and cap construction for durability, strength and a energetic feel. 6mm of riser with vibration absorbing material reduces rider fatigue and provides comfort at speed.
Hyper Progressive sidecut: A gentle tip and tail radius blends into a tighter radius under foot and provides performance at any speed. The harder you push the turn, the more response and acceleration you get.
Stainless steel edge: less rust, less susceptible to burring for better edge control.
4000CGX base material: Sintered material with Gallium for speed, ceramic to resist abrasion and infused with wax as a structural part of the base.
Unique brushed aluminum paint on topsheet.

They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction. Powder Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.
