Flow Merc (Black) Rocker Snowboard 2011 – The Flow Merc Rocker Snowboard comes to you with all-new base geometry that offers a slightly convex base for more forgiving turns, combined with a super mellow EZ-Rock slight reverse camber for super easy turning while still giving you a nice, poppy flex. Flow’s tried-and-true DT Sidecut unleashes the best in any rider, for easier progression. The Flow Merc Rocker Snowboard is designed so you can feel limitless on the hill, while knowing there are no more boundaries based on your budget.
This all mountain board is slightly directional, which means that there’s a little more nose than tail and the set back insert pattern and flex makes for more performance in the forward direction and better floating in powder, thriving in any and all terrain.
The TrueFlex Core features a high strength-to-weight wood construction ratio, utilizing different density poplar woods uniquely profiled to give you excellent all-around response when riding the mountain. Biax construction creates a smooth, easy, torsional feel, due to the majority of the fibers being in the 0 axis to add extra pop and an easy torsional flex to the board, all resulting in easy carving for all-mountain or park performance.
The Optix 2000 base is a high-density, extruded base that is extremely easy to maintain and fix. The Optix 2000 is one of the highest wax-absorbing bases on the market and will give you all the speed you would ever need even if you don’t wax on a regular basis.
The EZ-Rock rocker profile is perfect for the rail yard or the entry level rider who wants stability and a surfy feel without feeling off balance; with a reverse camber and a mellow convex base between your feet, you get better jibbing performance and reduces catching an edge, and it’s mixed with a mellow camber under the feet top a flat shape up near the nose and tail for added stability and pop.
The dual transitional sidecut utilizes a combination of 2 radii: first, a tight radius for quick, responsive carves and then blended with a mellow radius right before the nose and tail of the board for rough terrain, high speeds and the forgiveness you need while jumping.
