The Bataleon Whatever Snowboard isn't on the apathetic teenager vibe, it's saying "whatever" as the answer to "what are you down for?" Most of us don't order up our day's riding from a terrain list or a snow menu. We head out in search of fun, no matter what the mountain and Chef Nature have cooked up. To keep the eating metaphor going, the Whatever is a rideable spork, ready to devour the all-you-can-eat buffet of a day on the hill. From pow to park, from tight trees to open bowls. Yum!

Medium Camber
Twin 3BT™ + SideKick™ – 3rd generation TWIN 3BT™ has the added benefit of SideKick. The base uplift angle is mellow becoming more dramatic at the widest areas of the board. It offers a loose jib feel while the wide centerbase makes it stable on takeoffs, landings, in presses and at high speeds. Designed for terrain parks and overall freestyle riding.

99% Twin – Keeping true twin beneath the contact points with a longer nose and shorter tail. This shape produces a twin feel with increased performance in powder, great for all-mountain slayers.
SideKick™ – SideKick™ dramatically increases the sidebase uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. This makes turn initiation smoother, increases float in powder and improves handling of the board in rough terrain.

Light Core – Bataleon's 50-50 Swiss paulownia and poplar woods blend for optimal strength to weight properties.
Dual Super Tubes – Two hollow carbon rods milled into the bottom of the core to enhance pop and give the camber more snap.
Laminates
Biax Laminate – Traditional and time tested two-way weave of fiberglass is light, strong, and responsive keeping the board snappy without adding torsional stiffness.
Carbon Stringers – Carbon is feather light and adds explosive pop, precise edge control, reactive response, and smooth dampening to a board. It is used in different ways to fine-tune a boards ride characteristics.

ABS Solid Walls – Tried and trusted ABS sidewalls for the best flex to strength ratio.
Base
Super Slick X – Not a basic extruded base. It has the highest molecular content available for an extruded base. That means it's super slick, durable and maintenance-free.
Flip Flop Base – Boards with Flip Flop bases have two or more base color variations. Bataleon uses this process to reduce waste.

All-Mountain All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice. Freeride Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Camber Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.

Medium The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
