Last year, the Magic Carpet (previously known as a Whitegold Prototype), really went through the wringer. The boys at Bataleon took it out to the Whitegold Mountains and let'er rip. Sure, some boards were destroyed, abused, and shamed; but one rose through the Bataleon trials. The Bataleon Magic Carpet Snowboard took the freestyle beatings that their crew delivered and floated pow so nicely, they couldn't name it anything else, thanks to the Twin Pow 3BT providing a sturdy and responsive ride when riding over virgin snow. With a Reactor Core, Kevlar Fleece, and Carbon Enhancements, the Bataleon Magic Carpet Snowboard is a ride that is completely unique, and completely destructive.
Twin Pow 3BT – Bataleon's new Twin Pow 3BT was inspired by their tapered pow and freeride designs, but put into a shorter, wider, twin frame that handles deeps as well as it pops and rides switch. The 3BT sections match this shape by being shorter and wider as well. The larger surface area means you can size down and ride a more maneuverable board, yet still get the same float and stability.
Flex Rating: 4 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) – This is a medium flex board hitting a balance between freestyle play and forgiveness with control, response and support for harder riding. Great for all-mountain riders who want to do it all!
Reactor Core – Dual density full wood core composed of poplar with beech running tip to tail along the rails. This fortifies the board's edges against impacts and delivers stronger, more precise edge hold and turns while also promoting reactive pop along the edges.
Carbon Enhanced – Carbon adds explosive snap, precise control, smooth dampening and it's feather light. Bataleon uses it to enhance the ride of their high-end boards. By placing Carbon stringers in key areas of the board they are able to increase the connection between the rails of your board making it feel more responsive.
Tri-Ax Laminate – Bataleon's tri-axial or three-way fiberglass is a weave of fibers in three directions: 45, 0 and -45 degrees. It's like their bi-ax layup with with added fibers running tip to tail. This stiffens up the board and adds more snap, while also offering better edge control and grip. The added strands of glasses make boards more aggressive and more responsive overall.
Kevlar Fleece – Used with the same purpose as the composite fleece, but Kevlar is lighter, stronger and even more powerful with energy transfer underfoot and edge to edge. Increases board strength and power transfer.
Sintered Base – Hard and fast. Sintered base material is tough stuff and its microscopic pores retain wax nuggets for a slick slide. To get the maximum benefits from a sintered base it needs to be waxed regularly. Bataleon finishes theirs with a proper hot wax before they leave the factory.
Die-Cut Base – Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
