Go oldskool with the Arbor Zygote Twin Snowboard. Thanks to symmetrical tip and tail measurements but a non-symmetrical shape, the Zygote Twin has all the performance of a modern true twin board, while paying homage to classic skate inspired snowboard design. A soft flex gives you the jib and street style you want, and Arbor's brand new True Camber System powers the Zygote for monster ollies and airs. 360-Degree Sidewalls, a burly topsheet and long-lasting core allow Arbor to provide you with a 3 year warranty, meaning you'll be reppin' that oldskool style well into the future of the sport.
True Camber – Traditional camber is a mellow protuberant base shape that originates from the contact points at the tip and tail and then peaks at the midpoint. When you’re snowboarding, the arch flattens from your weight's downward pressure. In translation, you will turn nimbly from the continuous edge-to-snow contact and have tons of preloaded pop
Flex Rating: 4 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff) – This snowboard has a soft-medium flex rating which is perfect for riders who don’t want to be held back in the park or powder. Soft-medium flex boards’ are responsive, easy to turn, playful and forgiving. This snowboard will love the rails, hot-park laps but never turns down fresh snow
Non-Sym Twin – A fusion of true-twin on-snow geometry with distinct tip and tail outlines that pay homage to the shaping and art traditions of early skate and snow design. While dissimilar in shape, the tip and tail share identical widths, heights and lengths, creating a symmetrical twin ride.
Poplar Wood Core – Poplar wood cores are durable and lightweight. Snowboards made with Poplar are known to have a consistent and evenly distributed flex throughout.
Ply [topsheet] – Hand-dyed ash
Power Ply Top – Structural, performance enhancing real wood. Protective film laminated to the power ply tops contains 30% bio-plastic and eliminates the need for toxic clear coats.
Biax – Biax laminate consists of fiberglass that is braided in two directions. The fibers are braided vertically at 90 degrees. This ensures a torsional flex that is more evenly distributed throughout the snowboard. For you, this translates to a snowboard that is easy to handle and jib friendly.
360-Degree Full Wrap Sidewalls – Durability and impact resistance
Extruded Base – Polyethylene pellets are melted down in extreme heat then forced together under a high pressure machine. The end result is a strong, solid, and smooth base that is easy to maintain, non-porous and extremely durable.
Die-Cut Base – Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Grip-Tech – Grip Tech is a sidecut design that creates four additional contact points under foot for significantly improved, more direct edge control. The new contacts also create heel and toe pivot points that make turning faster and more efficient. Grip-Tech allows Arbor to offer a "True-Rocker" profile with powerful edge control, and thus preserve the full range of associated performance benefits. Grip-Tech also allows riders with larger feet (up to US men's 12) to ride standard width shapes.
