Moment Night Train Skis 2013: The Moment Night Train Skis take rocker/camber theory beyond its all-mountain, one-ski-quiver origins, creating a pure powder ski that’s still capable in-bounds. It’s progressive Twin Rocker profile and early taper dimensions allow you to push the envelope further in steep, deep terrain than you ever thought possible, while sidecut lets you carve up hardpack.
Twin Rocker is like nothing else you’ve ever experienced. Designed purely for deep-snow performance, Twin Rocker combines a flat camber profile underfoot with a rockered tip and tail. With no downward arc to catch an edge, a Twin Rocker ski can pivot, smear, and slide sideways at speed with complete confidence. It’s the way powder was meant to be skied.
Early taper for a catch-free, nimble feel
Flex rating of 7.5 out of 10 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff)
Moment uses Aspen/Pine wood core on skis that need to be able to withstand a beating. Ash provides amazing binding retention, strength and dampening; Pine adds durability and reduces weight to the core.
Fiberglass Matrix fine-tunes the flex profile of the ski.
Carbon Fiber stringers provide more pop and snap and are extremely strong and lightweight.
21m @ 168cm 133/116/128, 25m @ 178cm 140/123/135, 27.5m @ 186cm, 140/123/135 (all sizes)
UHMW (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) Sidewalls are extremely light, durable, and resistant to separation.
1.2mm Durasurf 4001 Sintered base can take a beating while staying fast. They are US-made, harder and have better wax absorption than extruded bases. Moment uses sublimated graphics to eliminate the cracking and peeling common on die-cut bases.
VDS Dampening System is placed over the edges and in several other key locations to mellow any harsh vibrations.
2.2mm Rockwell 48 Steel Edge for more strength and durability
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.
