The Line Skis Sakana is the playful, floaty carving ski you didn't know you needed. Taking cues from its big brother, the Pescado, the Sakana features a distinctive swallowtail design and wide forebody providing excellent float and a unique, surfy feel in deep snow. This is no one trick pony though; a tight radius, camber underfoot and long effective edge make for the kind of snappy, energetic carving turns you typically expect from narrower skis. Offering something a little different from the usual all-mountain sticks and bound to turn heads in the lift line, the Line Skis Sakana Skis are a worthy addition to any quiver.
Early Rise™ – Tip and tail lift away from the snow to bring the contact points closer to the center of the ski. This increases a ski's lift in deep snow and allows it to engage more quickly on hardpack.
Rocker Profile – 10mm Tip / 4mm Camber / 0mm Tail
Directional Flex™ – The softer tip floats and initiates turns easily while the stiffer tail provides power, stability and high speed control.
Early Taper™ – The widest part of the sidecut begins tapering earlier in the tip and tail which reduces tail hook ups in powder.
Thin Tip™ – Super thin core & sidewall in the tips are 100 grams lighter per pair for reduced swing weight & tip bounce.
Swallowtail – A dramatic tail knockout de-couples the farthest reaches of the effective edge while simultaneously forcing the tail of the ski down in soft snow. The result is a ski that can be ridden at shorter lengths without sacrificing performance.
Partly Cloudy™ – A blend of lightweight Paulownia and Maple creating the best strength to weight ratio of Line's offerings.
Carbon Flax Weave
Titanal Tail Reinforcement
Sidewall Construction – Ultra-high density Polyethylene vertical walls over the edges to absorb vibrations and provide powerful energy transmission.
Sintered 1.3mm Base
1.7 x 2mm Edges
Hardcap TPU Topsheet
Stance Back from Center – -80.5 mm
Mounting Distance from Tail – 76.6 cm
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
