Product Info

It's a known fact that pretty much every cool innovation in ski design over the last 40 years or so was inspired by snowboarding. So when the current hotness in snowboard design is "volume shifted" boards with short lengths, super fat noses, and swallow tails, Line figured, what the heck let's try it out. And for that, we thank them. It turns out that just like twin tips and fat skis, volume shifted skis are pretty awesome. The Line Skis Pescado Skis have by now taken their place in the ranks of legendary ski shapes. They are built to ride shorter than you normal size, but more than make up for it with a super fat 125 mm waist and even fatter shovels. The rearwards mount point and swallow tails help the ski sit back in powder and float like a speedboat through water. They're a revelation in powder, unlocking previously unseen styles of playful, directional, deep snow riding.

Product Details

Rocker Type

Early Rise™Tip and tail lift away from the snow to bring the contact points closer to the center of the ski. This increases a ski's lift in deep snow and allows it to engage more quickly on hardpack.

Rocker Profile20mm Tip / 4mm Camber / 1mm Tail

Flex

Directional FlexThe softer tip floats and initiates turns easily while the stiffer tail provides power, stability and high speed control.

Sidecut

5-Cut™ GeometryFive different radiuses are blended into the ski's sidecut. The result? A wide variety of turn shapes and an intuitive feel.

Shape

SwallowtailA dramatic tail knockout de-couples the farthest reaches of the effective edge while simultaneously forcing the tail of the ski down in soft snow. The result is a ski that can be ridden at shorter lengths without sacrificing performance.

Core

Partly Cloudy™A blend of lightweight Paulownia and Maple creating the best strength to weight ratio of Line's offerings.

Sidewalls

Sidewall ConstructionUltra-high density Polyethylene vertical walls over the edges to absorb vibrations and provide powerful energy transmission.

Base

Sintered 1.1 mm BaseSintered bases reduce friction against the snow allowing for more speed, and more durability due to the high-density material they're crafted from.

Edges

1.7mm x 2mm

Additional Features

Stance Back from Center80 mm

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
