Product Info

Armada JP vs Julien (JJ) Skis 2009 - Armada’s 2009 JJ Skis got the biggest overhaul of the year. Staying true to its heritage of backcountry-jib greatness, these skis evolved closer to the Armada ARG. The JJ is now a five-width dimensional, sidecut-within-a reverse-sidecut and rockered ski. Armada gave this model a longer reinforced AR Fifty Sidewall area over the sidecut, making it friendlier to regular resort riding. Rockered skis don’t have to stay in the deep. A slight camber along the sidecut makes Armada’s JJ skis hold an edge like a traditional wide ski, while still slicing through skier chop. Backcountry booter sessions just got that much better. JJ’s rocker makes switch take offs and landing smoother, while reducing swing weight for easier spins.

AR Fifty Sidewall-ABS Sidewall meets Cap Construction-the best of both worlds. These capped skis are reinforced along the effective sidecut area with ABS material for maximum edge hold. This produces remarkable sidewall edge hold while significantly lowering swing and overall weight. The AR Fifty construction method is used exclusively on our patent-pending, rockered, sidecut-within-reverse sidecut ARG and JP vs. Julien models. <a href="http:

Ultra Light Core- The Ultra Light Core is exclusively used in Amada’s wider, backcountry-oriented skis. The combination of hard-to-find, high density and low-weight woods eliminates unwanted weight while providing an exceptionally smooth ride. 50/50 Base-This die-cut blend of two materials is common ground. It’s faster than S7, but not as high maintenance and tougher than the Comp Series.

1.7 Impact Edge- This edge also exists in our line for one reason-it’s light. Deliberately small, this edge is on all Aramada’s backcountry-oriented skis.

Ski dimensions: 126/136/115/133/121
