The Armada AR6 series holds true to the intent of the AR5; however, it has undergone an overhaul making it even better suited as a park and pipe ski and also improving its all-mountain performance. The major change in the Armada AR6 is two fold. The widened dimension of this particular model provides skiers with increased stability. In addition, the variable slant sidewall technology used in the past has been replaced with a vertical sidewall. By incorporating the Armada designed AR1 core along with carbon fiber stringers in the tail, the Armada AR6 ski is more stable, stronger, and lighter than ever before. It is simply the one ski in the Armada line that Armada athletes cannot do with out.

2.5 Edge Technology- Heat-treated to Armada's specifications, these larger edges are coupled with extension rails that extend further into the ski’s core. This adds resistance against pull out and helps reduce edge cracking due to rail impact. Steel edges are surrounded in rubber that helps stabilize and strengthen edges on those hard rail landings.
AR Core I- The center and outer edge of the core is targeted with a strong (dense) wood laminate and complimented by hard but stable, lighter 375kg/m3 wood. These provide lightweight, strength and snap for increased durability and liveliness.
Vertical Sidewall- An engineered sidewall that runs the entire length of the ski. This increases edge durability by adding material over the edge, while redesigned lighter weight cores keep the total ski weight below that of previous models.
Torsion Triax Fabric is the special combination of procured fiberglass to optimize torsional and longitudinal stiffness for well defined turn initiation and carving.

Park & Pipe Park and pipe skis, often called freestyle skis, are for skiers who spend the majority of their time on jumps, rails, and jibs of all kinds. Traditionally park and pipe skis have narrower waists with full camber profiles, but this category is incorporating more rocker patterns and different shapes. You will almost always find these skis with twin tips as well as other park specific features like thicker, more durable edges, dense extruded bases, and butter zones. All-Mountain All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.

Full Twin Tip Desinged to allow you to ski backwards, full twin tips are found primarily on park & pipe skis and freestyle powder skis. More and more, we are seeing twin tips on all-mountain skis of all abilities, as it makes it a little easier to get around, and for the most part does not inhibit forward skiing.
