The Salomon S/Max 130 Ski Boots had a somewhat limited distribution last season, and were available only in white. We loved the boot then, and we like it even more in black. The classic 98 mm heat moldable platform is still there, but the boot has been completely re-designed for the better. The fit around the forefoot is similar but with a slightly higher instep, and the cuff wraps remarkably snugly around the ankle and lower leg, making power transmission remarkably positive and reducing response time. Salomon's Coreframe design reinforces the boot structurally through the midfoot and makes the boot perform as if it is stiffer, but without making the forward flex unbearable. The new seamless liner is also a leap forward, especially for those with issues at the fifth phalanges where liner seams normally rub. This all-new design puts Salomon not just back, but at the top of the performance piste and freeride game.
Last: 98 mm – Narrow last for slim to normal width feet with normal volume. Can be heat molded using the custom heat molding process to approximately 104mm in the forefoot.
Custom Shell HD – Salomon's proven heat molding process makes boot fitting most feet quick and easy - the latest Custom Shell HD version is even quicker to mold than before. The thinner wall construction and new shell materials allow the foot to be closer to the shell and provide enhanced sensations, more power and direction energy transmission.
Flex: 130 – A very stiff flex for aggressive expert skiers who demand maximum support.
Sense Amplifier Cuff – Cuff design promotes quicker rebound and better snow feel. 2 Position strap lets you select the level of power and rebound.

My Custom Fit 3D Seamless Race Liner – Those pesky seams you feel on your little toes? They're gone in the totally new, pre-shaped and seamless S/Max and S/Pro liners and you'll be happy they're a thing of the past. Improves comfort, precision and ensures a warmer fit.
Core-Frame Construction – A thinner walled Sensitive Shell is reinforced by the Core-Frame element that runs under the midfoot from maleolus to maleolus and stiffens the shell where you drive the ski with a minimum of added weight. Delivers precise terrain feedback and maximum power transmission to the edges.
Sensitive Shell Technology – Unprecedented on-snow feel with a 2-position Sense Amplifier strap that lets you dial in your preferred level of power and rebound.
Screwed Oversize Pivot – Screwed for maximum bootfitting options, the Oversized Pivot ensures perfect power transmission between cuff and shell.
Backbone – The link between the upper cuff and the lower shell provides support for better rebound coming out of the turn and enables a progressive but powerful forward flex.
Shell – Polyurethane with XeCarb Coreframe Reinforcement
Cuff – Polyurethane
4 Screwed Aluminum 3D – Choose from 3 different positions of the instep buckle for optimum in-step comfort, full customization and personalized foot hold.
Sense Claw 45 mm Strap – Two positions for adapted fit and feel options. The unhooked position allows you to reach the right level of progressiveness and rebound, while the hooked position ensures maximum stiffness and performance.
