Mammut R.A.S. (Removable Airbag System) 3.0 – The Removable Airbag System 3.0 is an avalanche airbag system based on a square, brightly-colored airbag that deploys behind the wearer’s head in seconds. The system is safe, easy to use, even lighter and smaller than before and can be installed in all Removable 3.0-compatible backpacks.

Only Compatible with 3.0 Backpacks – NOT compatible with Removable Airbag 2.0 backpacks (from W11-12 to W15-16).

Trigger Test Tool Included – This allows you to easily carry out practice deployments of the airbag (test deployment).

Range of Application – -30 °C to +40 °C

Very Small Packing Volume – Fully integrated with the backpack. Does not get in the way of internal organization.

Complete Flexibilty – The whole system can be removed from the backpack and attached to other backpacks in the range. The backpack can be used for other activities.

Warning – Wearing an airbag backpack is no guarantee of survival in an avalanche. Backcountry travelers are highly advised to educate themselves in snow stability assessment, route finding, and companion rescue and carry all of the conventional avalanche gear in addition to the airbag.

Cartridge Sold Separately – A Mammut refillable air cartridge is a necessary part of this system - we recommend the Refillable 207 Bar Aluminum Cartridge (Mammut's Carbon Cartridge is not available in the US).
