We can't claim the concept is original, but we have to give Tyrolia credit for offering a swappable toepiece hybrid made entirely from parts of their own manufacture (i.e. no buying an aftermarket kit). Basically, the Tyrolia Attack Hybrid 11 MN Ski Bindings employ both an Attack heel unit and toepiece, but the toe slides off and can be replaced by an Almonte tech toe for ascending. Not the lightest touring solution, granted, but bombproof and can be used as a strictly alpine setup without worrying about the delicate tech hardware (or deadly lack of elasticity). Sweet.

Toe Piece
Almonte Tech Toepiece – Easy entry, can be swapped for Attack FR PRO3 toepiece for the downhill (or skied with tech toe in an emergency). Toe tech fittings required for use.
Attack FR PRO3 Toe – Used for downhill skiing; compatible with all ISO sole standards (ISO 5355 Alpine, ISO 9523 Touring, ISO 23223 Gripwalk) in ski mode. Can be swapped for Almonte tech toepiece.
