Japanese Alps
Located in central Honshu, Japan’s main island, the Japanese Alps were named after the European Alps due to their similar glacier-carved slopes and summits over 10,000 feet. This range stretches from Toyama Bay in the north to Hamamatsu and the Pacific Ocean in the south, and includes the three ranges of the Northern Alps, the Central Alps, and the Southern Alps. Collectively, these ranges offer a sampling of the best MTB trails in the country.
