*VLT (Visible Light Transmission) is the percentage of light allowed to pass through a lens.

VLT (Visual Light Transmission)

Visual Light Transmission is the percentage of light allowed to pass through a lens. In other words, this is how “dark” a pair of goggles will be. The lower the VLT % of the lens, the less light that the goggles will let in. Lenses for bright and sunny days will usually have a VLT percentage in the teens or lower, while low-light lenses will have much higher VLT values.
