Born in Hong Kong and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Eph is a renowned painter, photographer and designer. He’s currently the Creative Director at CAPiTA Snowboards.
How has this past year influenced your work?
I’ve worked from home for the last 20 years so at least that part has been exactly the same. But the extraordinary events and difficulties we’ve all had to deal with over the past year have definitely made me aware of my own energy and the importance of choosing to act positively versus being a negative contributor. The tagline for CAPiTA’s 2021/22 collection, designed over the past year, is COSMIC VIBRATION MANIPULATION. It speaks on the power of positive visualization and changing the reality around you with the energy you choose to project.
How did you get started at CAPiTA?
I got a phone call in the summer of 2000: “Hey Eph we need you to design a snowboard. It’s going be called The Black Snowboard of Death! We need it tomorrow!”
