With an all-new X-CARB carbon fiber baseplate, the Union Ultra FC Snowboard Bindings take the widely loved Ultra and improve upon it to make it even lighter and more responsive. A symmetric Forged Carbon highback is not only stiff, but also super durable and lightweight for a responsive feel all over the mountain. But don't worry, Union thought things through and designed the Ultra FC Bindings with super cush Vaporlite 3.0 bushings -- because if you're riding these next-level binders, they rightfully assume you're gonna be sending it deep!

Baseplate
MD X-CARB Baseplate – An industry first and Union exclusive, the all new X-CARB material contains a very high amount of evenly blended carbon fiber, providing new levels of stiffness. X-CARB injection combined with Forged Carbon parts give you the lightest and highest performing traditional binding on the market.
FC Vaporlite 3.0 Bushing – Integrated Forged Carbon and Vaporlite 2.0 combine to give the best of both words -- enhanced response and supreme comfort.
Mini Disk (MD) – A minimal contact footprint allows for even board flex and is compatible with the 4x2 mounting pattern, as well as The Channel from Burton.
Highback
FC Symmetric Highback – Forged Carbon exceeds the strength requirements of injected plastic tenfold. Lighter is only better when it is stronger. Forged Carbon is as light and strong as it gets.
Straps
ExoFrame Straps – Independent suspension and support create a seamless interface. This all new super cushioned and lightweight design comfortably holds you in, but won't hold you back.
UltraGrip X – All new for 16/17, UltraGrip X is the evolution of Union's thermoplastic anti-slip toe straps. Lighter, grippier, and even more comfortable.
Buckles
Magnesium 2.0 Buckles – Four times stronger than aluminum with only half the weight, Union buckles are built to last. The all new 2.0 design is 10% lighter than previous versions.
Additional Features
FC Heelcup – The rigidity and strength of FC Heelcups act like a roll cage on a race car -- stiffening the entire chassis. The male/female connection with the base provides seamless response.
Grade 8.8 Hardware – The most commonly used hardware is made from "mild steel" that has a property class of only 4.6. Considering how much stress a binding is under, Union uses only the strongest steel on ALL hardware.
Tool-Free Adjustments – No screwdrivers needed - Flip the levers for a quick and easy on-hill adjustment.
Union offers a lifetime warranty on baseplates and heelcups. If you break, or even crack your baseplate or heelcup during riding, they'll replace it for life. Guaranteed. All other parts are covered for 1 year from date of purchase.

Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
