Volkl Mantra Skis 2015

Perhaps the best-selling performance all-mountain ski in the world since its introduction, the Völkl Mantra Skis need no introduction. Or do they? Re-designed for the 2015 model year, the Mantra gains 2 mm in waist width and becomes slightly more forgiving and easier in powder without sacrificing its famous edge grip. Sound like a stretch? A quick test ride will convince you otherwise - better grab this ski before it sells out.

Product Details

Rocker Type:
ELP Full Rocker: Völkl matches the sidecut and flex of the ski perfectly to give it a smooth, gradual bend from tip to tail. This results in easy maneuverability in tight spaces and soft snow, but enables the skier to gain full edge contact when the ski is put on edge. Full Rocker skis have a slightly stiffer tip and softer mid-body to give you bomber stability, uncanny smoothness and easy turn initiation in one package.
Shape:
Early Taper in the tip
Core:
Multi-Layer Wood Core: Völkl freeskiing models feature a multi-layer wood core that features two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates more secure screw retention, preventing binding pull-out, and the soft, supple poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern is tailored to each ski model, depending on the desired performance. Multi-Layer Wood Core
Laminates:
Power Construction: Construction utilizes traditional vertical sidewalls and a torsion box internal layup. Used in racing skis as well as all the freeskiing models, this versatile, proven construction provides tremendous grip, stability, and a smooth ride. Power Construction
Powered by Titanium: A metal layer just under the topskin delivers dampness and power at speed.
Sidewalls:
Vertical Sidewalls
Binding Compatibility:
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
