Kashima Coated Stanchions: The smoothest of the smooth, plus it looks cooler. The gold Kashima coating has become synonymous with friction-free suspension actuation, and it's only available on Fox Factory components.

Inboard Bypass Channels: Bypass channels help curb pressure ramping for increased small bump sensitivity, as well as recirculating bath oil to lubricate bushings and seals. By relocating the bypass channels from the aft side of the fork to the inboard side, they are now out of the fore-aft load path to further reduce dynamic friction throughout the fork’s travel.

Increased Bushing Overlap: The 34 SL increases the bushing overlap by 20% over the 34 SC for a smoother feeling fork overall. Riders will notice additional suppleness at higher speeds when bending loads on the fork are at their greatest.

Redesigned Arch & Crown: Generatively designed and optimized by FOX engineers, the new 34 SL arch wraps around the lowers to increase torsional stiffness of the fork by 17% over the previous 34 SC. Cutouts at strategic locations in the arch help minimize weight of the lowers. In addition to the arch, the generatively designed 7000 series aluminum crown also contributes to overall torsional stiffness, with larger internal lightening bores and a black anodized finish (lighter than paint) to save even more weight.
