The 10 Best Kids' Ski & Snowboard Pants of 2023-2024

By: Sarah Ziffer: Women's & Kid's Techwear Buyer | October 10, 2023

It’s every parent’s dream to share the sports they love with their kids. There’s nothing like that special feeling that comes when you watch your kids fall in love with your favorite activities. And, while good parenting, positive reinforcement, and careful planning all help make that dream a reality, it’s important to remember that the right gear makes a huge difference too. While choosing ski pants making sure your kids are warm and comfortable on the ski hill is the first step in helping them fall in love with skiing or snowboarding. The best kid’s ski and snowboard pants make this easy. They’re designed with new skiers and riders in mind, so they have reinforced panels to hold up to repeated crashes, and special fit features so they can grow with your groms. And they have the same technologies that you’d expect from adult gear as well.

New This Year:

The world of kids' ski and snowboard pants is seeing a shift in 2024, embracing a more inclusive approach with unisex styles taking center stage. As parents and young riders seek out gear that defies traditional gender norms, brands are responding with designs that cater to all. Further underscoring the trend is the increasing popularity of bibs over traditional pants. Not only do they offer better snow protection but also provide a stylish twist to the winter ensemble. A notable addition this year is the Patagonia Powder Town bibs, set to become a favorite among young winter enthusiasts. With both comfort and style in mind, the latest trends ensure kids are both warm and fashionable on the slopes.

Sarah Ziffer

Growing up in Florida, I missed out on the chance to get involved in snow sports. Tired of the heat, and seeking out the mountains, I moved to Seattle to start a new adventure. A few years after moving to WA I fulfilled my dream of learning to snowboard and immediately fell in love with it. After just one time out on a friend’s board I was hooked. I outfitted myself from head to toe with gear from evo, and got a season pass at Snoqualmie.

I quickly realized that snowboarding inspired me to live a lifestyle centered around the outdoors. I left my job at a fashion company to come and work for evo and become immersed in the culture and experiences that make the snowboarding community so vibrant. I have been at evo since 2017, am currently the women's and kids' techwear buyer, and enjoy learning and experiencing everything this incredible community has to offer.
