ITINERARY

Day 1 – Welcome to Queenstown

Touch down in one of the most stunning mountain towns on earth. You’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Once settled, we’ll get bikes built and meet the Mons Royale team for a warm welcome and a visit to their store, complete with some gifted gear. With fresh merino wool in hand, you’ll be ready to ride—looking good and feeling even better.

We’ll wrap up the day with welcome drinks and a group dinner at the legendary Sherwood Hotel. This will give you a chance to connect with your fellow riders and set the tone for an unforgettable week.

Day 2 – Coronet Peak & Skippers Canyon Shuttles

We’ll dive straight into Queenstown’s alpine magic with a full day of riding at Coronet Peak, including the legendary Skippers Canyon shuttle—a ride packed with stunning scenery and fast, flowy descents. We’ll finish the day with the “Corotown” trail and a well-earned pub dinner in the historic town of Arrowtown.

There will be a 6:1 rider-to-guide ratio throughout the trip, so if needed, we can easily split into groups based on skill level to make sure everyone’s having a great time.

Day 3 – Queenstown Bike Park & Ben Lomond Trails

It’s gondola time! We’ll spend the day lapping the world-famous Queenstown Bike Park with your full-day Skyline lift pass. For those craving a little more, there’s the option to pedal up to some classic enduro lines like the Fernhill Loop. Whether you’re chasing flow or pushing into more technical terrain, there’s something here for every rider.

We’ll wrap up the day with a well-earned dinner at a local favorite, Atlas Beer Café.

Day 4 – Maitangi Trails, Alexandra

We’re heading off the beaten path to Alexandra, one of the South Island’s hidden gems. Expect rocky and technical terrain paired with wide-open views—this is big country riding at its best. Day 7 – Bike Glendhu + Mons Royale Experience

We’ll wrap up the trip in style with a full day at Bike Glendhu, riding its beautifully built, flow-filled trails with two Can-Am shuttle sessions. On the way over the Crown Range, we’ll stop for a visit at the Mons Royale HQ, where you'll meet the founders, grab a coffee from Kai, and get a behind-the-scenes look at one of New Zealand’s most iconic bike apparel brands. The Mons crew will join us on the trails, bringing an extra layer of local energy to the day.

If the weather cooperates, we’ll cap things off with a BBQ dinner at the beach near Glendhu. Otherwise, we’ll enjoy a cozy dinner at the Cardrona Pub—the perfect end to an unforgettable week.

FAQs

Is my trip guaranteed to run?

No, please note there is a minimum number of guests required (6) for this departure to run. Please wait to make travel arrangements until you have received confirmation from evoTrip.

I’m ready to book. What next? Can I pay a deposit only?

To secure your spot, you can either book online or contact Customer Care at 1.866.386.1590 to set up your booking. If you prefer to only pay the $1,000 deposit per person, please call Customer Care to make payment. Full payment is due 60 days prior to departure.

What level of fitness, skill and experience is required for this trip?

This trip is designed for both intermediate and advanced riders. Participants should possess a solid foundation of experience and technical skills, to confidently navigate a variety of terrain and challenges. Be prepared for rough double track and some technical single-track, as well as undulating trails with moderate climbs and descents. Intermediate riders may choose to walk certain technical sections, while advanced riders can tackle more demanding features. Both levels exhibit good bike-handling skills and the ability to ride various terrain under different conditions, including muddy, dry, loose, and bedrock surfaces. If you have questions about your fitness or skill level, please email us at [email protected]

What are the accommodations like?

The group will stay at a premium lakefront and bike-friendly hotel, The Sherwood Queenstown, with comfortable amenities, ensuite bathrooms, plenty of community spaces, and incredible views. Enjoy daily yoga/movement classes as well as massage options. See above for more information on the Sherwood Hotel.

Can my dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Yes! If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please inform us before your departure. Our guides are experienced in managing dietary needs. They will coordinate and communicate your requirements to ensure safe and suitable meal options are provided throughout the trip.

Can I choose my roommate?

Yes. If you have a roommate request, please let us know. By default, we will place two people of the same gender in a room with two beds.

Can I book a private room? Will there be a single supplement?

Yes, though single rooms are first come, first served, and subject to availability. Please note an additional cost (known as a single supplement) will apply. The single supplement for a Queen room is $780, and the supplement for a King/Twin room is $900. Please contact us at [email protected] for availability and pricing before booking if this will determine your participation.

What if I'm a solo traveler that would like a roommate but none are available?

If you are a solo traveler that would like a roommate, we do our best to pair you with another solo traveler of the same gender. However, if no roommate option is available and you must be assigned your own room, you will be asked to pay 50% of the single supplement to cover the cost of your room. In this case, as the single supplement is between $780 and $900, depending on room type, you would be liable for $390-450 extra. Please note roommates are paired on a first come, first served basis, so the earlier you book the less likely you will be "forced" into a single room!

What gear should I bring? Should I bring my own bike, or can I rent one?

A recommended packing list will be sent to you after booking. Please note that bikes and riding gear are not included in this trip. You're welcome to bring your own bike, or you can choose to rent one locally. The following rental bikes available: Premium Santa Cruz Models: $2017 NZD for 7 Days. Giant Reign SX Enduro*: $1323 for 7 Days. Rental Bike insurance up to $500 avoidable damage: $15 per day. *These models may vary due to a possible new partnership, if so we will update the list and inform you of the changes. If you'd like to rent a bike for this trip, or if you're unsure whether your current bike is suitable, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] for more information.

Should I tip my guides?

Yes, guide gratuity is not included in your trip package and is recommended if you enjoyed your experience.

Should I purchase travel/medical insurance?

YES! Bike Queenstown has made it mandatory for all guests to get insurance to cover trip cancelation and medical. We always recommend purchasing travel insurance for all trips. Travel insurance allows you to seek reimbursement if you are forced to cancel your trip for unforeseeable reasons, or if you need to cover medical help, emergency transport, theft and/or accidental damage while traveling. We recommend World Nomads.

What if I need to change or cancel my trip?

A 25% deposit of approximately $1,000 is due upon booking. The full balance is due before Feb. 1, 2026 and is non-refundable after this date. If you cancel within 48 hrs. of booking you will receive a 100% refund. If you cancel before Feb. 1, 2026, 50% of your deposit is non-refundable. To cancel a confirmed trip, you must notify evoTrip in writing. The cancellation becomes effective once we receive your written confirmation. Additionally, if you are unable to attend, you have the option to transfer your booking to another person for a small administrative fee.
