The K2 Public Enemy designed for the park and anywhere else you want to venture on the mountain. The Public Enemy ski is built with a stiffer Triaxial braided wood core in the factory series thus giving it strength to withstand the toughest of landings and the confidence and stability to rip any terrain.

  • Triaxial Braided:This patented and proprietary technology wraps an interlocking fiberglass weave around the skis wood core at 38 degrees to provide a strong, lightweight ski with optimum torsional stiffness.
  • Torsion Box Sidewall:Torsion Box construction is K2's most widely used, yet simplest lay-up because of its versatility and its ability to create so many different kinds of skis depending on the amount of flex and torsion designed into the construction. Torsion box’s construction tends to have lively and energetic characteristics that provide a high degree of rebound and performance.
  • ABS Sidewall, Tip and Tail Rivets, 3.5 mm Steel Edges.
  • High Performance All-Mountain Pipe and Park Twin
  • *** The 2008 K2 Public Enemy, also known as the K2 PE, has all sizes and is on sale now!

Well, these skis are a wildcard to me. They always do what you least expect them to do. They rip literally everywhere on the mountain, park, urban, wherever. Easily controlled and predictable, these skis are great for a beginner, and even better for an expert. If you are unsure of what kind of riding you are planning to do, these skis have your name on them. Some cons with this ski, however, are for park rats like myself, they arn't as playful and flexy as say, the public enemy's park oriented brother fujative or line invaders. Also, The top sheet scratches ridiculously easily, so if you care about how your skis look so much, these might not be for you. My topsheet is already destroyed at the end of my first season with them, with even a few core shots on the top! Anyways, if you are an all around skier who loves to do everything, buy these, you will love them. If you are a true park skier, buy something for forgiving, like fujatives. These may not be the best for VERY deep powder, but the 85mm waist holds them up in most everything. I would strongly recommend these skis to anyone from a beginner to an advanced rider.

I bought the 169? Public Enemys around February of the 2007 season. i originally had them traditional mount but then got them centermounted this season. They rattle a little centermount but its all good. For such a stiff, heavy, twin tip, you can still get some flex out of them. If you want more flex go with a bigger size You can do butters but they arnt crazy like a more jib specific ski. I live on the East Coast and the 3.5mm edges are really nice in icy conditions and grip like no other. I ride park 80% of the time and these skis are great. the huge underfoot is real stable on rails. The skis are real heavy and so it takes a little bit extra to spin, so 3's cant be done off little booters and 270 off rails takes more than you think. Ollies are a little tougher too. If you find yourself in the park more than 60% of your runs id probably get a more forgiving ski like 4FRNT TNKS, Fujatives, Or Line Invaders, but if you also are into big mountain id get the public enemys.

Wouldn't recommend them for an "East Coast" skiier because they're nothing special on groomers. Come out here (Colorado) and they're at home on the slopes and backcountry alike.

Comments about K2 Public Enemy Skis 2007:

Surprise. I though I was buying a thrasher ski for backcountry. Not only is it light and "all mountain", it shreds, anywhere you go.
For control freaks, it does what it's told.
Perfect for the park and big mountain. 174cm is perfect for my 180lb 5'10" frame, with just enough floatation in light waist deep Tahoe powder. Powerful and responsive.

i took a 6 yr break from skiing and was happy to get back in with new technology. the k2 public enemy completely changed my view of the sport... they handled almost everything effortlessly. My only complaint was a bit of chatter at higher speeds, otherwise this ski rocked my world.

I bought these skis toward the end of the ski season last year and living in NM i took them on almost powderless runs and they proved to be very responsive and a great ride. When we did get powder they handled fairly well but they could have been better but i didnt expect more from park and pipe skis. i love the awesome rooster tails these things make and spraying the skiers trying to beat me.
