Dynastar Exclusive Legend Idyll Skis - Women's 2011: Find your peace on the mountain with the Dynastar Exclusive Legend Idyll Skis. Thanks to the Exclusive Balance System the Dynastar Exclusive Legend Idyll Skis are built specifically for women’s movement and body positioning on skis. These are skis built to handle the specific needs of a female’s body in order to make every ride unforgettable.
Shape
The Exclusive Balance System is built specifically for females. The stance and sidecut are pushed forward to provide increased control. Materials are 25% lighter for efficiency and fatigue reduction The heel is raised for better balance and the vertical sidewalls are strategically placed where women exert the most force while skiing, ensuring better control
The smaller turning radius makes carving turns on hard packed snow and groomers easy, while still allowing you to cut through crud and trees if needed.
Construction
Vertical sidewalls are full length race department sidewalls used for ultimate edge grip, power and balance
Autodrive: vertical construction under the foot and cap constructions at the extremities. The cap allows for easier turn initiation and the vertical sidewalls provide better edge and hold.
Flex
The Dynastar Exclusive Legend Idyll Skis are made with a wood core that gives the best flex patterns to maximize power and provide complete stability and versatility.

    All-Mountain
    All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.

    Intermediate-Advanced
    The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.

    Camber
    Camber is the traditional profile for skis offering skiers lots of edge hold, especially on harder snow. A cambered ski has a smooth arch underfoot and contact points near the tip and tail when unweighted. Camber skis excel at carving on hard snow; you won’t ever see a ski racer on anything other than cambered skis.

      I upgraded from some very old and beat up 2008 model Dynastar skis that were super heavy and were bought used. Needless to say, this was an amazing ride in comparison. Initiating turns was effortless and I was flying down the slopes. I was afraid that these would be too much ski for me since I only started skiing last season (I am mostly a blue skiier), but it turns out that this wasn't a concern at all. Definitely a great ski for an intermediate skiier looking to advance. For reference, I'm 5'0" (152cm), 105 lbs, and I purchased the 152cm model initially, but returned for the 146cm since I felt that the shorter length was better suited to my abilities. The 146cm hits me a tad above eye level. I also paired these skis with the Look NX 11 Exclusive Lifter 2011 bindings, which are light and go great with the design on these skis.

        I ordered my Dynastar Legend Idylls from Evo's outlet after demo-ing them through a sports outfitter last ski season. I loved them so much at after demo-ing a bunch of others this season, I went back and purchased the Idylls. They're terrific for turning, they're very lightweight, and they do have the ability to go across multiple terrain types, although I stick to groomers. I was a beginner skier last year but these skis helped me move easily to intermediate and now, after more practice, I'm on my way to advanced!

        Very happy I got these skis. I purchased the Look NX 11 Lifter + bindings and they work great! Evo had the best deal I could find on my skis and bindings - I saved literally hundreds of dollars and I couldn't be happier with the products!
