Rocker Type:

XTD Tip and Tail Rocker: Unique rocker shape, longer rocker profile compared to traditional tip & tail rocker, very short cambered profile under foot, more solid shovel and softer middle section.

Core:

Speedwall Multi Layer Woodcore: The sidewall is laminated to extremely stable layers of wood on the sides of the sandwich core. In combination with a more flexible, lighter wood built into the center of the sandwich core, this construction provides numerous advantages: the hardwood immediately adjacent to the sidewall effects a higher power transmission, improves the edge grip and supports the edge against external forces. The low weight of the softwood in the middle of the ski brings more agility and maneuverability and reduces overall ski weight. Laminates:

3D.Glass: Compared to classic glass constructions, the three-dimensional and multiple-folded glass layers in the binding area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound behavior in turns.

Powered by Titanium: A Titanal layer just under the topskin delivers dampness and power at speed.

Sidewalls:

Full Sidewall: Full length sidewalls make for direct and strong power transmission.

Base:

P-Tex 4504 Base: A sintered, ultra-high molecular polyethylene base with an extremely high density. Besides a great wear resistance and perfect wax absorption, P-Tex 4504 is extremely fast and exclusively used on Volkl's top of the line and race models. The material has been upgraded with special additives to make it thermal and electro-conductive and proves its qualities with premium glide and maximum speed in races.

Edges:

Race Finish: For a better grip in fast and tight turns, Volkl World Cup skis come with a special race finish edging. While the SL models feature 0,7° on the base and 87,6° on the side, the GSL models come with a 0,8° base and 87,6° on the side.

Includes rMotion2 12 GW Bindings: The new rMotion2 bindings were developed in coordination with Marker especially for the new Code Speedwall and the Racetiger Speedwall UVO. This is a complete system with a new, significantly lighter race plate that ensures optimal flex and grip. The prime driver behind this is the 20% wider construction, which allows for significantly improved transfer of power and control. The new toe piece also ensures greater stability, while the heel mechanism provides better mounting convenience.

Additional Features:

UVO 3D (Ultimate Vibration Object): The terrain below the ski inevitably generates vibrations, which in turn set the shovel into motion. This significantly disrupts the smoothness of the ski-ride, and makes it harder to hold an edge. The revolutionary UVO technology works against this, through proven dampening in the form of reduced vibrations in the horizontal and vertical directions as well as along the length of the ski.
