Yeti Cycles SB140 C1 Complete Mountain Bike 2021

The Yeti Cycles SB140 C1 Complete Mountain Bike is all about getting down and dirty with a smile. Based around 140mm of Switch Infinity travel with Yeti's lightweight C/Series carbon build and chonky 27.5 x 2.6" tires, this trail masher is super nimble and responsive - the perfect rig for riders that like to think outside the box and take the most creative line down. Think high speed trannies, sketchy last minute tree bonks, and boosted jump lines with plenty of tire tapping and berm slapping thrown in for good measure. Safe to say this bike doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's a good thing. The SB140 is focused purely on the business of having fun.

Product Details

Frame/Shock:
C/Series Carbon Frame: By making small changes in the carbon fiber layup of their TURQ Series bikes, Yeti was able to create a more aggressively priced carbon high-performance mountain bike. C-Series frames maintain the strength and stiffness of the TURQ Series. The carbon fiber in C-Series weighs a bit more, about 190g per frame. Every bike model is offered in at least one C-Series option with high-end components.
Switch Infinity Suspension: Switch Infinity utilizes a patented translating pivot that switches direction as the bike moves through its travel. This provides excellent anti-squat characteristics for superior pedaling performance and ideal suspension characteristics as it gets deeper into the travel.
Fox DPX2 Performance Rear Shock: Combining the best of X2 and DPS, the DPX2 features a recirculating oil damper design with the convenience of three on-the-fly compression damping positions.
Shock Adjustments: Air Spring Pressure, Lever Actuated Open, Medium, Firm Modes, Rebound Adjust
Internal Cable Routing: This may seem like a small thing, but having a clean aesthetic on the frame along with internally molded carbon tubes inside for hassle-free cable routing is key. It makes for a quiet ride and ease of maintenance. For Yeti, building a great frame is all about the details.
Integrated Axle and Hanger: The integrated axle and derailleur hanger system is built for simplicity and strength. Utilizing a left-hand thread to secure the hanger allows Yeti to incorporate the same machine piece for the axle retention. A clever little system the engineers spent many hours on that might get overlooked.
Playful Geometry: Designed to help you get the wheels off the ground, the SB140 has a poppy and playful feel. A 65 degree head tube angle that makes for fun descents. The 77 degree seat tube angle puts you in an ideal riding position for the climb - meaning you no longer have an excuse to walk up the hill.
Bottle Cage Mount: Within the front triangle, fits piggyback shocks.
Sealed Enduro Max Bearing Pivots
148mm Rear Axle Spacing
Fork:
Fox 36 Performance: Performance forks retain the same black anodized 7000 series aluminum upper tubes as Performance Elite, but have a different damper (FIT GRIP) with fewer adjustments.
Fork Adjustments: FIT GRIP 3-Position Lever (Open, Medium, Firm), Rebound Adjust, Air Spring Pressure
Drive Train:
Shimano SLX: SLX is ready to go wherever and whenever you want, whether it’s an all-day epic, the local cross country race, or a post-work ride with your buddies. It won’t let you down.
Brakes:
Shimano Deore 4-Piston Brakeset: Consistent braking performance and reliable stopping power in all conditions. The 4-piston caliper instills greater downhill confidence and control.
Wheelset:
DT Swiss M1900 Wheelset: With a 370 3-pawl hub, strong and lightweight aluminum rims, and DT Champion straightpull spokes, these wheels mean business. These will have you flying up and down with confidence and speed.
Maxxis Minion DHF Front Tire: With a tread design that deftly balances rolling speed with braking and cornering traction, it's hard to find fault with the Minion DHF. That's probably why it's one of the most imitated tires in mountain biking.
Maxxis Rekon Rear Tire: The Rekon is an aggressive trail tire inspired by the Ikon for intermediate and technical terrain. Wide knobs down the middle provide control under braking and L-shaped side knobs assure support when carving loose turns. With confidence like this you can race more and scout less with the Rekon.
Additional Features:
Fox Transfer Dropper Seatpost: The latest Transfer keeps its smooth action and low-height stack design, but shaves 25g and updates its internals for even easier serviceability.
