The Santa Cruz Bicycles Tallboy A D Complete Mountain Bike doesn't care if you call it a trail bike, an XC racer, or just a good old mountain bike. It's all of these things, but all it wants to do is rip. Made from dependable and rugged aluminum alloy, this is a lightweight short-travel bike with that'll pedal with all day long, with quick acceleration and an efficient SRAM NX 11-speed drivetrain. But being a Santa Cruz, the Tallboy relishes going rapidly downhill, and will surprise bros in baggy shorts on trails that feature more abrupt angles. Set up to rip right out of the box, this model is your most affordable ticket to getting out the trails on a Santa Cruz full-squisher.

Frame/Shock:
110mm VPP® Suspension: VPP is based on the patented principle of having two short links rotating in opposite directions. This system provides huge design flexibility, allowing Santa Cruz to manipulate shock rates to the intended purpose and character of each model; from short travel endurance bikes to World Championship winning DH machines.
Fox Float Performance DPS: For a lightweight, inline shock, the DPS packs a lot of performance. The Dual Piston Base Valve has dedicated compression and rebound pistons, providing a firm lockout without compromising bump compliance, ride control, or efficiency. Performance Series FLOAT DPS shocks have fewer adjustments than Factory Series (no Open mode adjust tuning range), and have black anodized air sleeve and body instead of Genuine Kashima Coat. A Performance graphics package ties in the black-on-black look.

Maxxis Minion DHF Front Tire: The Minion DHF was designed for the often loose and muddy conditions of aggressive all-mountain terrain. The DHF incorporates ramped knobs for low rolling resistance and channel-cut knobs to increase gripping edges, giving straight-line control and precise cornering.
Maxxis Crossmark II | Rear Tire: The Crossmark II improves on the speed of its predecessor while improving grip in intermediate conditions. The tightly packed knobs on the center ridge still fly on hardpack, and the updated tread pattern provides better braking and cornering over a wide range of trail conditions. A great choice if you want to go fast everywhere.
