Tecnica Phoenix 12 Air Shell Ski Boots 2012: Fit that never felt this good, the Tecnica Phoenix 12 Air Shell gives you an instantaneous fine-tuned fit thanks to its magnificent Air Shell Fit Technology. This is the boot for intermediate skiers looking for a great combination of performance and comfort. For all day, and all-mountain skiing that you just can’t say no to, the Tecnica Phoenix 12 lives up to your expectations and beyond.
Materials
Carbon Steel Buckles cuts down on the weight of the boot, but still maintains strength without the bulk of a traditional buckle.
Liner
EVA and Polyurethane Foam
Fur lining for comfort and warmth.
Additional Features
You won’t need heat pads either if you have cold feet, because the air in the bladders from the Air Shell will also work as an insulator enhancing warmth.
The Delta Force system allows the skier to adapt the power and rebound flex of the boot. A modified hinge point and the device itself work together to provide direct power transmission and a smooth progressive flex in two flex settings. Simply flick the lever up for a stiffer setting and down for a softer.
Flex and Fit
Soft Flex
The Air Shell offers a fast and instantaneous custom fit enhancement that can be done anytime, anywhere. An air bladder is placed between the liner and the shell, extending around the heel pocket to the forefoot area. Inflation and deflation pumps are on a panel on the spine of the boot.
The cuff catches can easily be moved to fit a variety of leg shapes. The catches have can be positioned in a range of 4mm: 22mm forward and 22mm back.

      When it comes to buying a boot, everyone is different. For me this has been the best and most comfortable boot I've ever owned in the 20 plus years I've been skiing. I tried on about seven different boots ranging in price from $300-$850. This boot by far took the number one seat in comfort and on the mountain proved to be a real performer. Not once has this boot made my legs/feet feel tired or fatigued. I would pay double the list if I had to in order to get this level of comfort. I can't wait to put these on every time I go out!! Absolutely recommend them!!

        Only tried them once and a little tight on first running with them....may need a size larger than normally wuuld use...looks great and feels okay when first slide on...but buckling up even when loosened felt a bit to tight for myself.

              Just finished using these and they are a really nice boot. Not comfortable at first so be prepared for that but once you understand how to use them they are GREAT! Great control and a lot of options for comfort. My advice is to buckle loose and use the pump, helps to keep toes warm. Had some snug fitting around my ankles like other guys but it was my fault. Also, keep in mind these are not beginner boots so built for more performance than easy walking and general comfort. Awesome boot if you are more advanced and ready to get more control of your skis. Enjoy them and they fit almost perfect, remember ski boots follow standard sizing so you can measure your foot and know for sure if they'll fit.

                GREAT service from EVO. The boots are great. Comfy, warm, well made. Absolute only drawback is that the right boot feels a lot stiffer than the left around the ankle. Might be a fluke of this pair, but nothing to complain about.
