Use this ski boot size chart to get a general idea of what size boots you need. Keep in mind that the conversion from shoe size to ski boot size is approximate, and that there are different ways to size a ski boot based on ability level, how often you ski, and what you are accustomed to.

How Are Ski Boots Sized? What is Mondopoint Sizing?

Ski boots use a measurement system called Mondopoint. The Mondopoint sizing system, or mondo for short, is essentially the length of your foot in centimeters. We recommend measuring the length of your foot in centimeters for a more accurate idea of your Mondopoint size. The size chart about provides two different Mondopoint conversions from different traditional shoe sizes - Comfort Fit and Performance Fit:

  • Comfort Ski Boot Fit is a more roomy fit - suitable for beginning to intermediate skiers (or those who ski only a few times a season) and normally ski groomed terrain at slow to moderate speeds.
  • Performance Ski Boot Fit is suitable for intermediate to advanced skiers who ski at higher speeds on a variety of terrain and in mixed snow conditions.
Expert and elite level skiers often choose an even smaller boot to get the most precise fit possible. The tighter the fit, the more control you will have over your skis. This creates the possibility for pressure points and pain, however - we suggest working with a qualified bootfitter if you choose this option.

Ski Boot Half Sizes

Regardless of what the stickers on the boot say, ski boots only come in full size increments – a 26.0 boot and a 26.5 boot normally use the exact same shell and liner and there is no difference in fit. Some manufacturers will include a "size adjuster" in the box; this is a shim to reduce the overall volume of the boot and make it a snugger fit.
