Salomon SPK 90 Ski Boots 2012

An evolution of the boot that started it all, the SPK 90 is the choice for dedicated freestylers at every level. With a flex rating of 90, shin pads, and an SCS toe cushioning system, the Salomon SPK 90 Ski Boots are the boot of choice for park rats across the globe.
Materials
A bi-injected lower shell made from polyurethane provides well adapted stiffness in a shiny, durable, dynamic and abrasion resistant piece.
A reinforced upper cuff rear, lateral insert enables the use of a softer front cuff for improved leg wrapping and progressive flex. Combined with Polypropylene, a softer and lighter material than PU for UVA resistance at a good price/quality ratio.
Liner
3 layers of thermoformable foam on the ankle, heel, meta, tongue & sole for better comfort without altering performance.
The addition of fur in the liner provides a comfortable and warm fit.
Additional Features
Adjustable spoiler
SCS toe cushioning to eliminate toe bang
High density foam with neoprene and lycra lining on the tongue for max comfort and flex.
2 micro alu oversized buckles allow perfect pressure distribution and powerful heel lock allowing the foot to drive the boot and not be trapped inside.
Flex and Fit
A 90 flex and 104 last make this boot a park skiers dream. Wide enough to be comfortable and stable on rails, but just stiff enough to give you enough power and pop off the big line.

Comments about Salomon SPK 90 Ski Boots 2012:

The boots fit narrower than I would imagined for a men's boot, but that fitted me perfectly. was quite painful for a first few days on the snow, breaking into the boots, causing bruises on my lower calf but once broken in caused me no problems. Very good in park, even when I cased a few kickers, I barely felt anything. The heel-hold can be better and the flex is perfect for a pair of park boots.

Soft, flexy boot. Very fun in the park, but not the control I would want off-piste due to the flex.

Comments about Salomon SPK 90 Ski Boots 2012:

I wore these all season but when I learned that I'd been wearing wrong size boots, I had a chance to buy a different boot, but I got these again. They are very comfortable and very warm. I keep them buckled all day long and my feet never hurt. 90-flex may be a little soft for hard core skiers but it's perfect for all-day, all-mountain fun.

Comments about Salomon SPK 90 Ski Boots 2012:

I read the other reviews, thankfully, they do run short and the toes box is wide. Really easy to take on and off and nice buckles easy to use. The plastic changes a bunch with temp but that ok because they are tall boots and you can get them to move easesly. A great pair of leave at your friend's house boots.

Comments about Salomon SPK 90 Ski Boots 2012:

I loved these boots so much. The people over at salomom really did a great job on these boots. They are comfortable and they have probably the best toe area of any ski boot for a wide foot because it doesnt kill your foot and squish it and it also has a padded toe to not hurt your feet when you hit your toes. The only thing I dont like about the boot is that it takes a while to get in and out of the boot. Overall a solid boot and I cant wait to use it more.
