This strengthens the support around the foot and lower leg providing quick response and precise transfer of power to the ski edges. This design also prevents the lower shell from distorting and bulging as the boot flexes, making the boot more smooth and stable at high speeds and on irregular terrain. Smooth and progressive forward flex is precisely controlled using an external shell tongue.
Bio-stride stride-double hinge tongue (double hinge/articulating) - Patented, three piece hinging tongue design assembly permits the tongue to follow the movement of the leg throughout its glide/stride/walking range of motion, either forwards or backwards.

Note - Sherpa Series boots break on the half-size, so the 26.5 and 27.0 boot shells will be the same boot sole length (307 mm).
