Santa Cruz Bicycles Bronson CC XX1 AXS Reserve Complete Mountain Bike 2022

The first Bronson was successful in its intent: to bridge the gap between trail and all-mountain bikes, to boost the fun factor on every ride - no matter what the terrain. A perennial best-seller for Santa Cruz, they kept it 27.5" and they kept it a ripper. "When in doubt, take a Bronson out." For the Santa Cruz Bicycles Bronson CC XX1 Reserve Complete Mountain Bike, they've gone mullet-style and it's only made the bike even better. The funbike flickability is still here, but now you can hit everything going just a bit faster. This build features the best suspension components from Fox and SRAM, along with SRAM's unreal wireless electronic AXS group. We simply do not sell a more desirable bike.

Product Details

Frame/Shock:
Carbon CC Frame: Santa Cruz's highest level of carbon fiber frame construction, CC carbon is not only extremely lightweight and strong, but it comes with a lifetime warranty. The durability, feel, and performance of carbon is unmatched in the mountain bike world, and Santa Cruz are at the top of the game.
VPP® Suspension: VPP is based on the patented principle of having two short links rotating in opposite directions. This system provides huge design flexibility, allowing Santa Cruz to manipulate shock rates to the intended purpose and character of each model; from short travel endurance bikes to World Championship winning DH machines.
Rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate Rear Shock: Designed for the latest hard-hitting enduro and trail bikes, Super Deluxe Ultimate features the ride-tuning abilities of an air spring with both compression and rebound adjustment to fine tune to any trail. With a solid threshold adjustment for pedaling performance and Maxima Plush fluid for a buttery smooth feel, riders can now easily dial in a podium-worthy ride.
Shock Adjustments: Air Spring Pressure / Low-Speed Compression / Rebound
148mm Rear Axle Spacing
Internal Dropper and Brake Cable Routing
Threaded Bottom Bracket
Integrated Flip Chip for High/Low Geometry Adjustment
Molded Rubber Swingarm and Downtube Protection
Fork:
Fox 36 Float Factory: With Kashima-coated stanchions, lower leg pressure bleeders, a floating axle, and the famous GRIP2 damper, these forks are straight out of the EWS pits. Smooth, tuneable, and definitely "factory," there's no better fork on the planet.
Fork Adjustments: Air Spring Pressure, High-Speed Compression and Rebound Adjust (8-Clicks), Low-Speed Compression and Rebound Adjust (16-Clicks)
Variable Valve Control: VVC is a proprietary variable valve control system that allows for external fine-tuning of suspension performance. VVC achieves with the twist of a knob what typically requires the time consuming and complicated task of completely disassembling and reassembling the fork.
Drive Train:
SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS™: XX1 Eagle AXS utilizes the proven backbone of SRAM 1x. 500-percent gear range, a more secure and longer wearing X-SYNC 2 chainring. The resilience of an aluminum cage is paired with the connected components of Eagle AXS to be ready for the new gen of super bikes.
Brakes:
SRAM Code RSC Brakeset: Code dominates the World Cup — and every downhill trail worth its salt. In the gravity world, this is the pinnacle of performance, power and control. SRAM's famous big brakes have 4-piston calipers, a large reservoir, and fistfuls of power.
Avid CenterLine Rotors: The new CenterLine Rotor was designed to keep the center of friction consistent throughout rotation thereby minimizing vibration offering consistent performance and a quiet ride.
Wheelset:
Santa Cruz Reserve 30 Carbon Rims with i9 Hydra Hubs: The EWS is strict—break certain parts and you DNF. The rule’s meant to encourage sensible management of equipment, but it’s also tipped the balance in favor of toughness and reliability. Enter the Reserve 30. Its 30mm internal width supports a 2.3-2.5” tire and the thick rim beads stand up to the abuse of tough, rocky, steep tracks ridden at elite speed. While DH rims see greater single impacts, nothing beats the full weekend of regular abuse that an EWS race dishes out. To say nothing of the infamous 'Anti-Grip' and the rocks buried within the moondust in the Andes of Chile.
Mixed Wheel Sizing (S-XL Sizes): The mixed "mullet" wheel sizing of top level racers has trickled down to the rest of us: with a 29" wheel up front for maximum grip and rollover clearance, you'll have a smoother and more solid stance through rough stuff and turns. The smaller 27.5" rear wheel helps you initiate those turns, while keeping the rear end maneuverable and out of your shorts.
Maxxis Minion DHF Front Tire: The Minion DHF was designed for the often loose and muddy conditions of aggressive all-mountain terrain. The DHF incorporates ramped knobs for low rolling resistance and channel-cut knobs to increase gripping edges, giving straight-line control and precise cornering.
Maxxis Minion DHR II Rear Tire: A real rider's tire choice, these Minions bring a mix of rolling resistance, wear, and performance that can't be beat.
Additional Features:
RockShox Reverb Stealth Dropper Post: Redesigned internals provide effortless actuation and increased reliability featuring new Vent Valve Technology™. With reduced overall post lengths and new travel options, riders of all shapes and sizes benefit from more travel than ever before. The new Reverb Stealth redefines what it means to simply go up and down.
