Comments about Tecnica Cochise 130 Pro Ski Boots 2013:

This is the ultimate boot if you like to ski resort in the morning and head to the backcountry/sidecountry in the afternoon. Gone are the days of getting used to your alpine boots to feel unsure of how your AT boots ski in the backcountry. One boot no problems. The stiffness is accurate on this it is a 130 flex which is noteworthy compared to almost every other at boot being a wimpy "130". Walk mode is super functional and the ability to go to dynafit soles is game changing. so stoked on these boots!

Comments about Tecnica Cochise 130 Pro Ski Boots 2013:

I used my Cochise 90 ski-boots predominant on hard-snow groomed slopes and I was very pleased.
After 7 hours/day of almost-continuous skiing (my only pauses were in the cable-car) my feet didn't felt any pain.
The light structure makes them very good at walking also. My only hope regarding them is to be durable.
        I recommend this Cochise ski-boots.

Comments about Tecnica Cochise 130 Pro Ski Boots 2013:

This is the boot I've been waiting for...one boot that does it all well (at least good if not great in all the categories I care about).

Flex: Stiff. A "true" 130? I don't know if there is such a thing, but it is stiffer than any other "mode" boot out there and I've tried them all.

Hike/Ski: Locks, metal to metal. This produces a very solid feeling and induces a confident descent. No question the front of the boot is there when you need it. Still, Hike/Bar mode offers a wide range of motion relative to other boots in this category.

        Soles: Replaceable and changeable (DIN/Tech)

PowerStrap - Innovative 4th buckle strap system...not really a con, but sometimes hard to get just right. Strap is velco with just a bit of flex. Consider adding a true booster strap in addition if you want a better bond.

Liner: Neoprene toe box (key to reducing short-last toe bang...cough Black Diamond). Very comfortable. Pretty warm. As good as the liner is, consider replacing it with an Intuition liner which will customize the fit, shave some OZs, and keep your toes mo toasty.

With or without the mods mentioned above, this is by far the best boot currently out there if you like to go down AND up, but like your downs as well or more than your ups.
