Full Tilt High Five Ski Boots 2013: The Full Tilt High Five Ski Boots provides all-mountain skiers with the responsiveness they’ve always loved , this time with a roomier 102mm fit and a smooth linear flex they never had. Full Tilt has even included its highest performance Quick-Fit Pro liner with Intuition® Foam for maximum power transfer and ankle hold that also molds 100% to your feet for precise control, comfort and warmth like no other.
Flex
Flex Rating – 7 (1 Softest – 10 Stiffest)
An all-mountain directed 5 ribbed tongue provides for a versatile, forgiving smooth natural flex. This natural flex is made with a free hinging rear cuff that never bottoms out. Full Tilt tongues are inter-changeable; making it simple enough to swap flexes on-the-fly (extra tongues sold separately). This design also provides even pressure throughout due to the cables that work just like your favorite shoelaces.
Materials
Full Tilt boots are up to 2lbs/900g lighter per pair than other boots due to a minimalistic shell that contains no overlapping plastic or bolts. The thinner plastic also increases the feel and responsiveness, making these boots much quicker than other pairs.
Liner
The Quick Fit™ Pro Liner is Full Tilt’s highest performance moldable liner.
J-Bars create powerful internal ankle hold down.
7mm High Density Intuition® Foam: this closed cell foam is made to transfer power and energy to the shell and is body heat activated to mold 100% to your feet and shell during use or can be instantly heat molded by a shop in minutes.
Powerwrap adds an additional layer of ergonomically shaped High Density Intuition® Foam to wrap around the outside of the upper liner, providing added energy transfer and horsepower to the shell.
Wide Toe: thinner foam in the front of the liner to increase toe space without sacrificing control in the rest of the liner
Stance
102mm Width Last
Full Tilt Influence shell design: influenced by the Original 3-Piece Design, but with its own roomier 102mm fit, and a price that can’t be beat.
Additional Features
Easy On and Off with tongues that open like convertibles and will never block your foot.
Active Bootboard absorbs high speed vibrations and impact.
Wrap Strap user friendly lower closure and 2 upper cables for even shin pressure.
Aluminum buckle macro ladder and micro twist adjustment.

Comments about Full Tilt High Five Ski Boots 2013:

Very excited for season and my first pair of Full Tilts. I am an advanced skier, but feel the High Five model has the right stiff flex for me (6). First chairs and Seth's have really stiff tongues. If I was jumping cliffs or skiing crazy terrain than yes.

Comments about Full Tilt High Five Ski Boots 2013:

I've only worn these a couple of times so far, but I really like them. Moderately priced, comfortable for my wider foot, and the liner is fantastic. Very comfortable and warm and conforms easily to your foot and hugs your calf for additional support. I wish the toe buckle was more like the others.

Comments about Full Tilt High Five Ski Boots 2013:

Very good boot if fitted properly! Got mine cause I have wider feet and higer instep. Forward tilt adjustment would make them perfect, but suit a more modern upright stance just fine. Thats my only gripe and its a small one. Took about 3 runs to get used to. Feel sorry for previous rater because if he bought the #6 tongues he got hosed. The #6 and #7 tongues are identical per Fult Tilt. They just changed the way the rate the influence tongues. #6 is now called#7 and #4 is now called #5. Also any footbed custom or off the shelf can be used in these boots. You need to have them fit by a proper bootfitter though. The liners need to be heated in convection oven too not just heatstacks!

Comments about Full Tilt High Five Ski Boots 2013:

Bought High Fives in order to help better fit high instep with some calcium buildup that tongue style boots tend to pressure/hurt. Needed the wider style so I could not go up to the top of the line models.

Good news is the full wrap and the custom fit left it extremely close fit on the foot so its not sloppy at all in the lower foot and no excessive instep pressure...Great!

      Bad news
1)these come with a rock hard tongue flex and I had to shell $50 more for a more flexible one (went from 7 to a 6) 2) forward lean is very low and non-adjustable on this model 3) lack of ability to install your own footbed is bad, my foot does not feel as planted to the ski as it should, 4) toe box is very tight, although i could reheat to fix that.

Overall a good boot for the heat adjustable wrap liner style, but those other factors leave me feeling i have less control that some other boots i have tried.
