Atomic Burner 130 Ski Boots 2013: Until now, high performance all-mountain skiers were forced to ski in painted race boots that offered no advantage to skiers venturing off the groomed terrain. The Atomic Burner 130 Ski Boots are the only boots to offer true advantage and benefit to the skier seeking the best blend of all day comfort and high performance without compromise. This is all thanks to the combination of the race proven Enduro Chassis and Live Fit zone.
Flex
Hard Flex 130 rating
Materials
1-Component Shell
Enduro Chassis: Atomic has taken its podium-proven race geometry and combined it with real all-mountain traction. The race geometry raises the height by 5mm and gives the all-mountain skier the confidence to attack steeper, more aggressive terrain than ever before
Liner
AST Elite T3: Asymmetric Liner Construction is the most anatomical liner on the market utilizing asymmetrically designed tongue, toe box, collar shape, and outer lining materials all geared towards creating a better fitting and ultimately more comfortable liner. The T3 allows the most customization as the tongue, heel, and fore foot are all completely adjustable with heat molding.
Fit layers are made of T3 w/ 3D EVA
Lining is made from Alcantara with an external layer of Microfiber
Toe box is 4-way stretch plus.
Stance
98mm Narrow Fit with one Live Fit Insert: a Live Fit zone is purposefully placed on the lateral side to eliminate common “hot spots”, while the medial side of the boot remains solid for maximum power transfer and edge grip.
1mm offset shell for truer stance
0 degrees shell rotation
Forward lean angle: 16-18 degrees
Additional Features
RSX Alu 7000 Buckles are easy to use and maximize leverage and ease of closure
FIS Dual Strap
Skywalk Rubber Soles provide superb traction all over the mountain.
SIDAS® Technologies insoles
Recco® Rescue Device for emergency location

Comments about Atomic Burner 130 Ski Boots 2013:

Compared to my previous pair of Atomic Volts, these run longer in the length and I needed to size down. For a boot without a walk feature it's about all you need for high performance all-mountain boot: Narrow responsive 98mm fit but with room in the areas where you need it, a stiffness that is smooth and progressive and paired with no- frills features like solid buckles, LiveFit, heat moldable liner and dual powerstap keeps the upper boot responsive while still being easy to adjust on the fly.

The buckles are solid and low profile. The LiveFit is nice for those with wider feet trying to fit into a narrow performance fitting boot. I have about 30 days on these boots and I have had no problems with leaking or damage to the LiveFit. I really like the liner. The strap is easy to cinch and doesn't come loose over the course of the day. The liner is comfortable but not bulky and overly plush. Its high quality, high performance and super comfortable and once molded a perfect fit around your forefoot and ankle.

The boot fits great through the width but seems to be a bit longer than other boots in it's size. It has a fair amount of room over the instep so if that is where you have had problems these may be a good place to start. Its boot worth considering, just make sure you have them shell fit. Also check out the Tracker 130 if you are looking for a boot with a walk feature. Same lower just a built in articulating upper cuff.

        • Feels half size too big
