When powder is the catch of the day, you know it's going to be a good one. The Rome StaleFish Snowboard is Ståle Sandbech's choice for deep slashy days when you need to carve corduroy on the out-trail. Free-the-Ride camber and a directional shape give this freestyle-oriented board maximum float and strong edge hold to plow through the whole mountain. Plus, 3D shaping and taper offer ample float and nimble turning. Don't be a snow flounder, be a snow shark with the Rome StaleFish Snowboard.
Free-the-Ride Camber – Designed for all-mountain prowess and float in the deep. Rockered in the nose, flat under the front foot, with a positive cambered tail.
Flex Rating – 6 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)
Directional – Boards with significantly longer noses than tails, typically featuring taper to help keep them nimble and floating in deep snow. Directional boards feature camber profiles that are oriented for all mountain riding.
Diamond 3D – Designed to increase float in deep snow, improve handling invariable terrain, smooth turn initiation, reduce edge-catch and complement all-mountain riding in all senses.
Taper (20mm) – Built into directional boards built with wider noses than tails helping with agile turns and added float in deep snow.
Bamboo Hotrods – Thin rods of bamboo are milled into the board’s core starting just inside the insert packs and extending into the nose and / or tail. Bamboo HotRods are very pressable and playful.
Pop Core – Rome's most versatile and durable core, built with alternating strios of 20mm strips of poplar and 20mm strips of paulownia.
Directional Single – A single HotRod in the board’s nose for stability at speed and overall liveliness.
Biax Glass – Fiberglass with two different axes, built to be torsionally more playful and pressable.
Triax Glass – Fiberglass running in three different axes, built for torsional rigidity and added snap.
SinterStrong Base – Hardworking easy to fix sintered base that hauls ass everywhere.

FullWrap – Rome's bombproof chassis; designed for durability, maximum power transfer, and stability at speeds.
Adjustable Baseplate – Created to help fit a wider range of boot models and sizes.
DuraCush™ Technology – An expanded thermoplastic polyurethane material, or E-TPU, used in SubBase pads and on footbeds to provide advanced chatter absorption. DuraCush™ is hyper-resistant to cold temperatures, whereas traditional materials often stiffen and negatively impact riding on the days when it matters most. No matter the temperature, DuraCush™ maintains its impact absorption properties for chatter-free riding, more efficient energy transfer and an overall smoother ride.
Baseplate Materials – 70% Nylon / 30% Carbon
Highback Canting – Built so that riders can adjust the angle of their highback to mirror the angle of their lower leg for increased connection and stability.
Highback Rotation – Designed so riders can adjust their highbacks to mirror the angle of their heelside edge for maximum power transfer.
Highback Materials – 70% Nylon / 30% Carbon
ProFlex Ankle Strap – Powered by AuxTech™, these are incrediblyb expandable, super durable, and provide superior locked-in hold.
ProGrip Toe Strap – Powered by AuxTech™, this innovative network of small hinges provides unmatched hold and locked-in grip.
AuxTech – Geometric patterns that become thicker perpendicularly when stretched. Think of them as a network of tiny hinges that, when pressure is applied, actually expand and open. This creates a more direct connection to the boot.
PivotMount Max – PivotMounts are small adjustable pieces that allow you to move the position of the ankle straps on your boots. The higher up the ankle strap sits, the more power and turn initiation. The lower the strap goes, the more surfy and tweakable your riding will be. PivotMount Max provides 8 different strap options per side for 64 total configurations.
